      Just in case I can help out here, the key differences would be the agmatine (Complete but not High Stim), Caffeine (275mg vs 350mg) and Huperzine (High Stim but not Complete).

    Can’t rave enough about how good the WPI is, you guys absolutely nailed the new Aussie Choc Malt too and it mixes perfectly, no bubbles at all

    Giving the non-stim pre a go, shame there’s only two flavours though. Apple Blackcurrant and Blue Raspberry sound great but I’ve cut caffeine 😅

    Probably should’ve asked this before I ordered, but do these add that ‘milky’ thick texture to water some pre’s tend to do? Or does it mix more like Powerade/GFuel?

      It is a fair amount of caffeine in the Complete Pre and certainly not suitable for everyone, especially if you are sensitive to caffeine. Caffeine has been shown to have a positive impact on exercise output, but the dosage will vary greatly between individuals.

      Our Beginners Pre does have a lower amount of caffeine at 150mg/serve.

          @megaalc yes, this was actually by design. We had a number of people starting out on Pre Workout and actively didn't want to experience the tingling sensation you get from beta alanine, so we removed it from this formulation.

            @aminozcomau: When I first started working out I really liked the tingling from beta alanine. I used to have my pre-workout when I wanted to go to the gym. Then if I got distracted, the only way to make the tingling stop was to get off my butt and go hit the gym. Worked really well but it is a weird way to motivate yourself admittedly.

              @EBC: @EBC you know, I can relate to this. The tingling (for me at least) doesn't seem quite as intense when you start exercising, so it is a bit of motivating factor.

              Having said that, a number of people who have never taken a pre-workout before had previously tried our formulations with beta-alanine and thought that something major was wrong.

      It's usually good to have before workout cause you burn all that energy off from the caffeine boost. So you'll be fine after working out. I know a friend who had 2 servings and didn't die (just a bit jittery) so you'll be good :)

      As a former night shift worker of 15 years, I can have a double/triple shot coffee and fall asleep half an hour later.

      I do recommend people who are less caffeine tolerant to do either half scoops, higher water volume or a mixture of both.

      Correct @lonewolf it's capped at one lot of credit per person for this promotion.

      To clarify, you need to order 60 serves in total and you'll qualify for the credit. But if you order another 30 serves (for example), you'll still just get the single lot of credit.

    This thread has been an interesting read. Best customer and supplier interaction I have ever witnessed…noice. I am new to these protein shakes and recently started to read up on benefits. At present I am looking for more of a weight control/loss blend or meal replacemnt shake. I do walking…squats, push ups, some arm curls etc (old school stuff) for exercise…but not every day. I went on the site and read some blends that were for weight loss…but I dont know what would be best.

      The main point of having protein shakes are to get more protein into you diet without having to eat solid food.

      I personally wouldn't pay the extra for protein marketed towards weight loss, as most of the time the dosages of ingredients aren't all that useful. If the price isn't much more than a standard WPC or WPI blend then by all means give it a shot.

      They can definitely be used for meal replacements as well. You can make smoothies with them. I find banana is good (depending on flavour of protein) as it thickens it up. You can also add oats and have it for breakfast, though you will need a decent blender unless you like it bitty and chunky.

      I find protein works best for me either/both early morning for breakfast and later at night before bedtime.

      I think @Camm90 raises some very good points. Realistically if you're after weight loss the results will come from your diet and exercise. Protein powders can be an effective tool to help reduce your caloric intake (for example, having a shake or smoothie could be a fraction of the calories of having a chocolate bar or milkshake).

      Plus you have the added convenience of a shake rather than having to prepare a meal (or grabbing a higher calorie snack option).

          @Buttocks May I ask what is nonsensical about my reply?

          In its most simple form, that's what protein powder is used for. How and why you use it differs from person to person, but all are valid ways to use it.

          You're on a website, dedicated towards bargains/cheaper prices etc, so it's makes sense to mention that they are generally a waste of money unless pricing is similar.

          I also mentioned about meal replacements, either as is, or with other foods (smoothies) as you specifically asked about meal replacements. I also mentioned what works for me because early morning/later at night are good times to use protein shakes as meal replacements. Whilst a pure protein shake can be used as a meal replacement, your body will absorb and digest it quicker than it would solid food or a smoothie.

          You mentioned being new to protein shakes, so instead of just saying "yeah mate drink it", I thought I would try and help by giving some advice. I've been using protein and other supplements for 15 years, I went from 110kg to 80kg purely by my own research and supplement choices. I've done the trial and error. I can only say what works/worked for me because everyone is different.

          This isn't an attack on you, hopefully it doesn't come out that way, but to be told I'm nonsensical pissed me off.

          @Buttocks just speaking specifically toward your query about shakes geared toward weight loss, do you mean something like our Amino Z Thermo Burn Protein?

          This is a WPC and we have acetyl-l-carnitine and green tea extract added in there. The latter two ingredients may help along fat metabolism, but will be minimal as compared to what diet/exercise will do, as you are aware.

          Ultimately I think it will come down to your priorities. Thermo Burn does work out to be a bit more expensive due to the acetyl-l-carnitine in particular, which is a more expensive ingredient. Meanwhile a WPI will be a little cheaper per serve, but won't have those added ingredients.

    Hi Jay, Thanks so much for all the deals you offer out! I have just ordered my first pre-workout (ever) and excited to try.
    However, I just wanted to let you know about a possible? bug. I used my Z Points credit from previous deals to cover the $49.99 price (used 4999 points), however, still had $0.02 left over that I had to pay for despite the maths not adding up lol (and charge did go onto my card). I honestly couldn't care less about the 2 cents, but, just wanted to let you know incase there's a bug in the code/maths formulas you guys use? Order number was 109872093.

    Unfortunately the previous 4kg WPI order I did with AminoZ has been disappointing. The price was good but their bags use a strange plastic zip-lock design that is anything but secure. 2 of my bags had busted seals at the top, so who knows how long it has been unsealed and if it has affected the quality of the protein.
    Once opened, the bags do not form a complete seal when closed either so I need to elastic bands and keep the bags in the fridge to help avoid spoilage and to avoid attracting critters to the pantry.

    The taste is ok but yeah, those bags man. You basically need to rehouse them in a new storage container once opened. I think I will go back to BulkNutrients as a supplier.

      @MasonDelta I just wanted to jump in here and acknowledge that 100%, our packaging needs improvement and this is currently our top priority.

      We have had some challenges with these pouches and it's been quite the journey for us. We've recently received some new machinery which improves the seal, and after ordering countless samples and having had to travel to various trade shows, we believe that we will soon have a far superior option available.

      Having said that, please flick us a private message and we'll replace them for you. If you received something that was faulty, it's on us to fix it for you. And even if you don't like the taste, we'll replace with another flavour.

      Had the same happen to one of my pouches, the ziplock just wouldn't stay sealed.

      Just had to run my fingers over the ziplock and it clicks back in and works as usual, no biggie.

        Had that with my PWO bag, but my latest WPI order the bags were actually split at the top along side the zip lock, so the bags actually couldn't be air-sealed at all, so not sure it would go stale quicker. Also my concern was if I dropped the bag, it would split further and spill everywhere. This was on two of four bags.

        Anyway, reached out to the team and they gave me a solution which I was happy with.

        Additionally, what is the expiry of the Whey Protein Isolate WPI, I have been having trouble getting through my last WPI bag as the taste changed fairly quickly despite using the provided bags seal, I'm not sure if I can finish it.

        I had since bought another to move on to that which still tastes fine, but I have had to leave the previous bag, now I am seeing comments about the bag issues.

    Anyone care to comment on a flavour & content comparison between
    1. On Pre Advanced (berry blast) &
    2. Gorilla mode (fruit punch)

    I enjoy the ON berry flavour, can't stand Gorilla (fruit punch) as it's overly sweet (I scull it).

    Workout wise, no tingles (no Beta-Alanine) using Gorilla, and I don't know if Gorilla is actually working due to taste and lack of tingles.

    How would this Z pre compare-ish?

      Hi @Kammi, I'll jump in here to try to assist (I was leaving this reply just in case anyone else could assist better). While I cannot comment in relation to the flavours (as I haven't tried those flavours specifically), I can help to compare in terms of the composition.

      A few key differences between these products versus our Amino Z Complete Pre:

      • ON Pre Advanced - 25mg more caffeine per serve, same citrulline, same beta-alanine. It has creatine (we have omitted creatine from our formulation as we sell this separately). No agmatine (vs. Complete Pre which does). Artificial sweetener (vs. ours which is a natural sweetener). Probably the biggest difference is price point - ON Pre Advanced is about $50-$70 for 20 serves, whereas ours is 60 serves for $25 without accounting for the store credit you get back.

      • Gorilla Mode - Assuming 1 serve is 1 scoop: Less citrulline per serve (4500mg vs 6000mg in Complete Pre), less caffeine (175mg vs 275mg in Complete Pre), no Beta Alanine, identical Agmatine amounts, contains Huperzine A (Complete Pre does not, High-stim does). Contains creatine whereas the Complete Pre does not. The Gorilla Mode uses artificial sweeteners whereas ours is naturally sweetened. Again there is a massive price point difference, I found it in AU for $129.95 for 40 serves (cheaper importing for USD $49.99), but still a lot higher price per serve.

      That doesn't compare every single ingredient as the formulations do differ, but they are probably the key ingredients. Sorry again I cannot comment on taste, but if you're unhappy with the flavour in ours we're happy to back it with a full refund, replacement or 110% back in store credit.

    Thanks for the mention of pouches…my pouch has gotten torn at the top so even if I zip it up air goes in …will this spoil the WPI? Should I transfer to another air tight container or it's ok to keep as is?

    Is there still an issue where the pre-workout clumps up in the bag? I noticed this on the last batch I received early this year and also most recently on a sample pre-workout. I'm thinking of transferring it to a container but not sure if there's meant to be one of those preservative pouches or something which is usually standard in tubs from other brands.

      No, we have fixed the clumping issue earlier this year, that was a bit of an ordeal to fix. We do have desiccant gels in the pouches to prevent moisture retention in the powder itself.

    Thanks Jay, I picked up the pre (non stim), creatine and vegan protein. Just wanted to see if there was any chance to explore in the future a low sodium vegan protein. I understand most pea proteins are extracted using a salt solution but I have seen some from the states they are low sodium, thanks.

    I'm a massive fan of Amino Z - great products and great customer service. What caught me off guard about their preworkout is that you need to dissolve it in something like 850mL water which is bigger than most shakers can hold, and alot of liquid. At least it forces you to be hydrated!

      There is a regulation in Australia that only a certain amount of caffeine is allowed per amount of liquid on the directions, so that's why we have this on the directions. From memory and a quick search, it's 32mg per 100mL of liquid. Hence why we advise this in the directions in order to remain compliant. I hope this explains.
