  • Can someone tell me how random referral system works? I want to participate to share my referral code.

  • Got 10 already. Very good

    • oh, no need to wait 30 days?

      • +1

Receive 10 fractions now, then another 10 in 30 days

        • ok thanks. the post didnt say that :)

    • I had 10 show up in my rewards and they move to in transit due 16/11. Are you saying you already received your shares in your account or are they in transit?

      • Pretty sure they are in transit - normally wait a few business days to hit the account

    • How long did it take for the 10 to appear? I signed up last night and have transfered money into Webull account but it hasn't been cleared yet. Do the 10 shares appear as soon as the funds are deposited?

      • correct. at the very same second. not 5 seconds later, not 1 mins later
if you dont get it then something wrong

        • Thanks, will check once the funds are in. Bloody stupid idiot CBA, hold the payment for 24 hours even if it's a $1, so will have to wait until tonight.

  • anyone has webull since last financial year and had some trading on it?
will they give good end of year tax report with the ATO code references so we can just plug the amount on the right categories when lodging tax return online? thanks

    • Are you asking in relation to ASX or US stocks? Foreign income isn't data matched.

      • everything ASX or US.
maybe webull will not load the info to ATO but what i mean is they give me good report/summary of what i get (cgt, loss, franked, distribution (local or foreign), div, income, costs, etc etc) and i can enter them manually on ATO website

        • The EOFY report is rather poor IMO.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Signed up and went to https://www.webull.com.au/center but it shows "Something went wrong." Anyone got the similar thing?

    • Yep, the app keeps timing out. It's not working well at all.

  • When does the referer get their reward to know? After 30 days?

    • Referrer gets 20 stratify away after referee signs up successfully

  • Do I need to open an account and fill up the details to deposit the fund?
And how long the verification process takes

Where is the deposit option on an android!
    Thank you

    • Yes, took less than 5 minutes. The app will tell you the bank details for you to transfer from your bank.

  • +1

Was lucky enough for someone to use my referral code last night, recieved the 20 extra fractional shares right away nice

    • Early birds get it good in this deal too even if they missed out from registering on previous ones, they had to just put their link in early on when the pool had less others. Now it's a 1 in a 1700 chance

  • Hey OzBns ..

Wanna add my link for referrals.. how could I do that ?
Please guide … not a tech head at all !

    Regards :)

    • +2

I think the best way is to add your link into the pool. This is done by going to your profile -> referral -> Look for webull and add it there

    • Click edit next to the random referral link and paste referral code link

  • Where do I find the referral code?

    • +1

At the end of the post above, there is a random eferral link, to click from

  • +2

Went through all the crap of the application process, only to be met in the very last step, "submit application", with a message just stating "Internal server error". How convenient.

    • I just got this too. Any resolution?

      • +1

Just tried again and this time it went through successfully! So they must have fixed whatever backend issue there was.

        • Yup, working now, thanks!

    • I can't even get that far. Feels like the app is failing with the influx of people applying

  • +3

I am getting "internal Server Error" at "Submit Application" when opening account

    • Yep, seems like it is a recent problem. perhaps their systems are temporarily down?

  • Internal server error here too

  • internal server error

  • Working now

  • Seems to be performing ok now?

I shared my code with someone in the last hour and no issues.

I did have some trouble verifying my ID last night, had to turn my VPN off.

  • +1

I'm have officially became a member of the bull family!

    • Welcome to the family!

  • Can you refer anyone? Family? Spouse?

    • +2

you can refer anyone that has valid ID

  • so after claiming 10shares i see expected delivery is 16/11 ? and they are not under my assets as of now

    • +1

Same. All of us expected delivery 16/11.

  • What's the catch. No co. gives away 200 to everyone and profits.

    • +1

@furyou if you worry then maybe this deal is not furyou… ups :)

    • Only KYC needed and 1c deposit. Worth a go for most of us :)

Was a massive pain in the ass for me to sign up. Would rather just have my time back.

    • +4

      very smooth for me.
get the ref, get the sms
      install app, register
take photo of DL and selfie
      enter TFN
done. wait 5 mins. ac is ready
      claim 10 shares
      send `$1, instant received.

      • And any referrals you get in the future are zero effort free money! I love Webull for this easy income, I'm close to cracking $2000.

        • Referral through ozbargain to earn?

          • @spedohero: Yep. Obviously going to effort and signing up friends, family and work colleagues does the job too but I can't be bothered with that.

  • Easy signup. 10 shares upfront, 10 in a month. Signed my partner up and got 20 more immediately.

There is a transfer period for the shares though, roughly 2 weeks until they're accessible.

    • +9

lucky you i have hard time convincing my partner to sign.
maybe time to find new partner???

      • +2

        Yes find new partner.

      • Aha if your partner doesn't listen to you for something simple like this time to find a new one tbh

  • +1

Hahaha, I can see in the Webull app two people have clicked my link but are yet to go through the full application process - come on guys you're so close!

    • There are even people who submit application and got approved, but don't fund their account lol.

      • +1

Same here… please fund your accounts. All you need to transfer is 1c and leave it there.

        • Just curious, When you fund do you need to tell them you made a deposit?

I funded 1c last night, it’s still pending as it’s a new payee. But I didn’t keep the transfer receipt so couldn’t submit the deposit form. Assumed it will still come through.

          • @Gumbootboy: I didn't need to tell them I made a deposit. I assume it's pending because of your bank? Depending on which bank, mine said 24 hour hold but it still went through shortly after which I think because it was only 1c. Your should still come through ok I reckon.

            • @cucumber: Cheers. All sorted.

How do you see how referrals are tracking though?

              • +1

@Gumbootboy: My Rewards > Promotion Center > Ultimate Referral Rewards > My Invites

  • +2

Very grateful to have picked up a referral from here. Go go TSLA!

    • How many does that make total for you now, and when did you originally sign up? I need one more for 10.

      • +1

I joined in March 2023, I have seven referrals but a couple are dead in the water.

        • March for me too, luckily all my referrals followed through. I think I have a less than 33% click-through rate from OzBargain though!

        • +2

I signed up last night and popped my referral code into ozb. Somebody has already used it and verified their id :o

  • Worth funding 100K for 3 months $5K Apple shares and ~$500 interest?

    • +1

I mean, if you cash out those shares, that's 22% annual interest or simply 5.5% quarterly. No risk and a higher return than any ETF I've seen. If I had 100k I could leave sitting for 3 months, I'd be jumping on it.

      • Why would they do that though? Seems too good to be true.

        • +1

What do you think Webull is doing with your 100K while it's sitting in your account? You think they're just looking after it for you?

    • I don't have 100k but tempted to do 2k

    • +2

Is that a new promo? Last month it was 100k for $4500 worth of Apple shares.

  • Hey guys,

I received my 10 shares, now it says To Be Claimed, EST Price 6.40, what does that mean?
Shouldn't be around 100 in total?

    • +1

      $6.4USD X 10 = $64USD

      $64USD = ~$100AUD

      • Got it thank you!

      • +1

        Shouldn't it be 20? I onlt got 10 @ 6.40 USD too…

        • +2

The other half comes through in 30 days

          • @Leonix: Phew! Just me or is that mentioned nowhere on the deal?

            • +1

@Gumbootboy: It's says you get your rewards after 30 days. The fact people are getting 10 straight away is a bonus.

        • Good thing I read this. Almost had me worried that I only got 10.

  • Thanks I just signed up via referral and found the process fairley straightforward.

    • +1

On behalf of the person who referred you, I say thank you!

  • -2

Does anyone know if getting these 20 free tesla shares, I would need to lodge a tax return every year, if currently don't need to lodge one? Asking for a pensioner friend who currently no longer has to lodge yearly tax returns as earning nothing, and doesn't want to have to do so for a $200 incentive…

I'm assuming you would if you receive dividends, but I don't believe these pay out dividends?

  • In case you do the 100k for 5k apple shares and WeBull goes bust would the SIPC, which protects securities customers of its members up to $500,000 ($250,000 of cash) cover you?

    • not worth the risk/hassle tbh, even if it does… I mean bank interest is not too far from that, why would u take such a big risk?

      • +3

It's equivalent to 20% interest which is ~4x higher than most high-interest savings account. Just sayin

        • I see. Still the risk is high, if u do want to go that route, may as well use it to buy ASX stock (rather than staying dormant) and get the CHESS protection as I read in the other thread

          • +1

@hanofee: IMO the risk of a random share not returning ~20% in 4 months is a fair bit higher than the risk of a (somewhat?) regulated finance company going bust out of the blue.

    • Where did you see this?
