    One of the people I referred, got a letter saying they are registered with ASX -> CHESS now; but they don't have any CHESS holdings via Webull, its through 'Finclear Services Pty Ltd' - and on research that is Webull's related-entity link - did they tick something they shouldn't have during the sign-up process, or is there a way to de-register them from AU trading? As they just did this for the free tesla shares :D

      From memory, when u registered, there's a checkbox whether u wanted to trade AU, which was ticked by default. Not sure if u can untick it. Also, there's no harm to have HIN that u don't use, there's no tax obligation or anything like that.

    Signed up using a random referral link, jumped the hoops, popped $1 into the Webull account.
    I remember clicking My Rewards, To be claimed, and claimed the 10 shares, however, when I now clicked the Webull logo at the bottom centre, it shows my assets as AU$1, obviously the 10 shares ain't there :(
    When I click into My Rewards now, I can see there are 10 shares under "In transit" with expected delivery date of 1/12/2023.
    Does this mean they will only give me 10 rather than 10 now + 10 in 30 days time? Or will the 10 in 30 days time appear around 15th or 16th December?

    one lot of 20x TSLA i got from referring a friend just settled.
    but each of them is only 0.030 not 0.032 as previous lots. and yes i verified my total under asset tab, i have 1.56 TSLA not 1.60 (if all are 0.032).
    also statement showing 0.030 each.

      Correct. The exact fraction of TSLA you receive is determined at the time you claim your rewards and is based on the current market price at that time so you receive ~USD$6.40 of it. Fractional shares have always been determined this way.

      The TSLA share price had increased significantly since the start of the promotion hence the smaller actual fraction of a share you receive to equal that USD$6.40.

      To withdraw to your AU bank, you’ll need to exchange to AUD as the shares are US currency based.

      Someone previously mentioned they called the ATO to ask and your cost base isn't $0, it's the value of the shares on the day you inherited them. So if the day it's given to you it's worth exactly $10 and you sell it for $11 you'll have to declare $1 capital gain. If you sell it on a day where it is slightly under the $10 then you technically have a capital loss but you don't have to declare that if you don't want. That would be the simplest for tax purposes.
