Teyes CC3 2K w/ Fascia $670 Delivered @ Teyes AU

20

If u wanna upgrade your car’s standard headunit/entertainment system to something flash, and with the included fascia, flush, these are pretty cool.

I had one delivered and it slot right in.

Has wireless android auto and wireless CarPlay.

2k res screen.

Also a bit of fun tinkering with settings to get things just the way you like.

I did a lot of research around these. The main ‘Chinese competitors’ in this space are ‘Teyes’ and ‘Joying.’

Tbh the units seemed comparable but I went with Teyes due to the AU presence.

The guy at Teyes AU, Dan, was super helpful to me in making sure I got the right setup.

This works out about $50 more than buying from AliExpress, but u get 12 months au warranty and au based customer support. If you’re confident with this sort of thing you could go direct w/ AliExpress but I wasn’t feeling like living on the edge.

T'Eyes is good quality, and I have one of these units, but this is the standard price so I wouldn't consider it a bargain.

Also, while 2K sounds better, the DPI on these screens mean that the icons are rather small compared to a 1080 screen. I'd actually opt for a 1080 screen in this case…

    • Seems the prices vary on the Teyes au website. Was significantly more expensive yesterday.

Do u do software upgrades on yours or just leave it?

      • I have the latest firmware when I checked recently.

The good thing about these is that the actual TEYES Android unit and the fascia are two parts, so you can always keep the fascia and upgrade the TEYES unit if needed. Since the fascia is a third of the cost, it's definitely a bonus.

  • I have one of these for my MR Triton. Includes the facia as noted above, however is not a direct replacement (close though).

Unit is good. I replaced the factory one due to CarPlay not working. With the Teyes unit, I would say it connects to wireless carplay about 90% of the time (have to restart the unit occasionally). Screen is nice and clear. Easy enough to use… factory camera and steering wheel controls work once setup. Android based, so you can use google play store to load other apps (spotify, netflix, youtube etc). Sound quality using carplay is average.

Teyes 'Australia' don't stock the unit. If you order it will come from overseas…. same as AliExpress. I ordered mine from Ali in September, was $656 delivered. Was on my doorstep about 10 days later.

Good feedback. I read that software updates iron out bugs. Maybe a software update could fix your wireless CarPlay issues?

      • I have the latest software. Seems to be consistent with other user reviews.

    • Could you please share the link where you bough it?

  • I have one of these as well. Quality is excellent, Dan is their rep and based in Australia, and the software has gone from glitchy to stable over the past 3 OTA firmware updates. Wireless AA is now stable, only very occasionally need to close the carlink (?) app on the Teyes and restart it. Wired AA rock solid.

Not a bargain though, not sure why it's here - better place in the forums?

(Edit - that being said if you have a Lexus with a dead or dying head unit, this can be a replacement in many models so could be a bargain compared to getting a new one!)

    • Nice feedback. I read the software updates are via USB. Are they now OTA?

  • I bought a cheap Android head unit on eBay and immediately regretted it then replaced it with this ATOTO and have not looked back:

  • Don't have one for Honda Odyssey AU :( any ways to give them feedback?

    • Oh wow. I searched for heaps of cars and they seemed to have everything. Dan @ TeyesAU seems pretty informed. Hit him up!

I went for Ekiy from aliexpress, same hardware from what I can tell. Half the price. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003754742696.html?spm=a2…
