You can grab the 13.3" 4K version here for US$113.99 (~A$180.47) with an inbuilt kickstand. However the downsides are less brightness at 340cd/m², lower 1400:1 contrast ratio, lower 96% sRGB colour gamut and no VESA mounting.

    • Also 16:9 vs 3:2, which at this size I'd say 3:2 is a huge benefit.

    • Dang, no VESA mounting is a deal breaker for me. That's a real shame, everything else looks so darn good.

  • thanks, can we claim tax deductions for AE purchases if they are for WFH ? or do we need to buy from a local store ?

    • +4

Yep. You can download a proper invoice from AliExpress that shows the GST and their ATO reference number instead of an ABN.

  • I assume it can't use the same port to receive power and the display signal at the same time.

Assuming your device has USB-C with video out it can.

    • +2

      They're brighter with external power

Thanks, is there a touch version too?

Anyone able to confirm the USB-C Display Daisy-Chaining?

Looks like it should, but would be really cool to be able to string a few of these together, instead of a mini projector.

Not this particular screen, but with a very similar one - I was able to do it to 2 monitors, but only with one of my laptops (the other needed external power added), so I'm assuming it has something to do with the USB output power.

Just beware that what qualifies as a stand in some of these deals may be no more than a flimsy plastic plate rack that in no way protects the front of the device.

  • Thanks, bought one. Let's see how it turns out… I need it at a client's office.

Hmm. I don't know why I need it. But I think I need it 🤔

  • Only downside to this screen is 60hz.

kind of ok for a portable monitor for work isn't it ? anyway my cheap Acer laptop has 144 Hz display, props to that.

  • Just bought one, thanks OP.

Does anyone have suggestions for portable stands if the built-in one is crap? I have a Gorillapod for SLR cameras with a 3kg weight load, and a tablet tripod adapter, but am wondering what else works.

I have this that I use with my Zsus display and have been very happy with. Folds flat and holds it quite stable.

      • Is Zsus good, that is cheaper than this by good $50 bucks. https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006081542516.html?gateway…

That's the one I have, I am one of the 3 star reviews on it as it was advertised as having a folding case/stand and did not. Now they have removed that from the listing. If you don't want a folding case, it is a great panel, it is almost exactly the same height as my laptop's 16:10 14.5" display, and after purchasing the above listed stand as well as a 180 degree type C adapter (so i don't have cables poking out the side in front of my laptop screen), it is perfect for my uses.

Build quality is average, but the panel is great, and does its job well.

      • Thanks!

  • Does anyone have suggestions for a case to go with this? I'm planning to just have it in a backpack with my laptop.

A 14" laptop sleeve would be fine. That's how I do it.

Mine arrived with a line of dead pixels :/

Am about to try the Aliexpress claims process (which I've used before, but not for anything >$100 US) and keen for any advice from the OzBargain hivemind.

    First impressions

    • other than the line, this screen looks fabulous. I'd probably suck it up if return too cumbersome.
    • despite some concerns in this thread, the stand seems adequate for day to day use. I probably wouldn't bother with a Gorillapod as discussed above.
    • you would need to put it in a bubble envelope or between cardboard to protect the front in transit. The back is solid enough aluminium
    • the VESA holes seem to be in the right spots and spacings, but the screw threads are narrower than I would have expected. Haven't measured and not an issue for me.
    • it wasn't too hard either to get the onscreen language from Mandarin to English (the OSD icon is fourth down and spelt out on the icon, and the first option in Chinese if you hit enter gets you to the language list)
    • sound isn't especially loud, but the built in speakers were far better than my admittedly-low expectations. I'd still need an external speaker if using this to watch videos or use as a Zoom/Teams screen in a group setting.
