Giveaway for Kirin Hyoketsu 4 packs from liquorland. Limited to 20,000. Haven't received the confirmation yet but it does say up to 2 days.

Must be trying to compete with Suntory 196 dominance here.

EDITS: Have now received the confirmation, took about 12 mins to come through.

Also, I haven't redeemed yet but users are commenting that getting the attendant to type in the barcode instead of scanning is fixing redemption issues.

    Mine didn't work at Reservoir Vic. Attendant tried scanning it, didn't work, and said "I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do".

    I didn't know to get barcode to be entered manually :(

    Now I'm going to go to sleep upset, and sober.

  • Told them to enter manually, and successfully got 2 packs. Had to get room temp as apparently no room in the fridge. Staff said they had some other people through the barcode didn't work, and they thought it was a scam.

    I solved the myth thanks to the generic code provided above. The barcode to scan is actually 13 digits while the real correct code is 12 digits.

    In other words, create the 12 digits by yourself to save the manual entry. Pros put it under a flybuys shell.

      • Use it to scan the barcode, it comes up a 13 digits ending with 8, one digit more.

        Just use google wallet and add a new flybuy card and manually enter in the generic 12 digits and it generates a barcode
        Find a liquorland with these in stock and as you check out get them to scan the flybuys barcode u generated

    Ok I originally called this a scam but it's actually legit, get the person behind the counter to manually enter in the code and it will work, thanks to the OP

        Nope,. Liquorland are technically incompetent. I checked with a mate who works there, said its still working now.

  • They said it wasn't working and waiting for head office clearance at Ashmole Rd. She entered the code and it worked.

      I suspect Coles liquor with send an email to Liquorland tomorrow asking not to accept them (so you may get lucky if staff haven't read, or don't care). Certainly won't work after Monday when their IT guys revoke the code.

  • I applied late morning today. Got email within 2 hrs. Walked to my local liquorland (Carindale, Qld) and redeemed around 6pm no problem. Jared there had dealt with a few today and figured out the scanning issues - still a few in the fridge.

    Not bad - less of an artificially sharp lemon than the Smirnoff Yuzu Citrus Burst giveaway imo.Thanks OP!

      But You can check stock availability online to save going there in vain. I picked the last pack in the fridge at one location and the online stock shows none later. It seems updated pretty soon.

      • You're right. Sorry I should have been clearer.. my local stores are oos. If I see one further away that does have stock.. wondering if it would be too late in the offer lifespan by now to risk driving the longer distance there, grab that stock from shelf and then try to redeem via Stocard code. Hard to tell!
        As the deal is marked oos too, gotta assume the redemptions left would be pretty small!
        Will see how I go later I guess.

  • Still working, I just redeemed. Weirdly I created a barcode in Google Wallet to scan and entered the code manually when creating it and when scanned it came up with the 8 on the end still. Staff member was already aware of the issue and just asked for the code to input.

    Worst service in Marsden Park, Sydney.. Indian Liquorland worker claimed he can’t type in the code because it’s the same as his one (weirdly had one already screenshotted on his phone), this is before I read the comments and found they all had same generic codes! Most likely he was saving it to give away to his friends and family!!

    Just went into the Green Valley store. Liquorland website shows plenty of stock available confirmed by customer service. I see a few four packs behind the register none on the shelf store manager says they don't have any even though they have a big banner out the front showing it's a new product.

    Sneaky suspicion that the store manager is on to the promo

    • People dedicating to this is the minority. I doubt 20% redemption quota hit. I visited a quite big center today and the Indian attendant let me have it but questioned it. Obviously, extreme minority has been doing it considering the foot traffic.

    confirm the barcode is the same.
    Redeem requires using barcode generator or a helpful staff manual input.

    Key part is to find stock. From web put 10x packs in the cart then check for your local store stock, don’t try the store with only 2-3 packs stocks.

    Got asked "So where did you get the other barcode from?"

    And politely explained how I emailed Kirin's support team which they apologised for the error and got back to me with a new barcode. This seemed to pass the check and he allowed it, but was a bit hesitant to scan beforehand as it wasn't an "official barcode".

    Suggest using this story if you have troubles 👍

    Got told today they got a message from head office to not allow redemptions anymore
