Giveaway for Kirin Hyoketsu 4 packs from liquorland. Limited to 20,000. Haven't received the confirmation yet but it does say up to 2 days.

EDITS: Have now received the confirmation, took about 12 mins to come through.

Also, I haven't redeemed yet but users are commenting that getting the attendant to type in the barcode instead of scanning is fixing redemption issues.

        Pros are the minority. Still working.

        I won't grab one again tomorrow. Staff dislike me and may already reject some manual input requests. No wonder still some in stock.

      I never even registered and just got the barcode from comments.

    Just walked to my local liquorland and claimed a pack before they closed. I've only manage 4 total, as many stores out of stock or only stocking 10 packs.

    Staff tonight already knew they were free and had the code at the till, didn't need to scan at all.

  • When I used the barcode it didn't work but they gave me the 4 pack anyway after checking the details.

    I got an email this arvo saying: "We're Sorry! There's a technical difficulty with your Kirin Hyoketsu 4-Pack redemption barcode". They go on to say that they will send a new redemption code next week.

              @Leho: I mean it's okay, would I be paying the price they're asking for a 4/10 pack certainly not, but if it was in an esky at a party I'd definitely go for it over quite a lot of things (not -196 or even hard solo though lol)

        • To give update. The redeem button didn’t show up but if you hovered over the appropriate area you could see the URL link. Went to the store pressed the area and the bar code came up but the guy couldn’t get it to work either by reading it or manually. The code did go beep. He sorted it so the price was $0. Good outcome but it seems they still haven’t quite got everything correct.

    Redeemed for a second time with the new code.

    Scanning didn't work again, she had to input the code manually like the first time.

    Had me a bit worried it wouldn't work after the scan didn't go through but she was persistent - wanted to see if she would be able to double dip herself as well.

    Then the redeem link goes to 404 error page when you try to click the email link again. One time redemption.

    Still managed to get the second free 4 pack as the manager did a price override… Since Kirin asked so nicely to provide feedback I decided to let them know their second attempt was also an "epic fail" 😆 Here's to the third free 4 pack 🥂

      Worker scanned and basically waved it off and said they are all mine and he will figure out the backend stuff later as he already encounted this the freebie today

  • Manager did price override at my store just now. She made sure I clicked on "redeemed" to ensure I couldn't use it again. It's so nice when you get a manager like this one who does what she can to maintain the positive customer experience.

  • yes new barcode 9313938903376 - couple stores i went to nr here, knew of the offer (obv, now it's not new, and they'd have heard all sorts about it from internal and custs, no doubt) .. were quite willing to scan the barcode, which didnt work, and neither did manual entry. They werent able/willing to go any further - 1 guy said "this doesnt look like the same barcode we had last wk" .. so i showed him the "we're sorry!" mail from Wed and the new one from today … he still wouldnt proceed.
    Boo.. they arent doing well with processes on this at all!

      Not unique as mine is the same and so is my husband's. A very poorly run promotion but we still did manage to get 8 free cans out it so that's okay I guess

    Staff all over it now. Probably cause of me. No issue redeeming again. Just told them I got reissued hence why I am back. They were happy to give me 3 packs.

  • A staff at my local Gold Coast Liquorland said they're not honouring them anymore because of some technical reason.. I think she's talking BS so I will go to another store tomorrow and try redeem it

    • I think there is still a technical issue for some codes. We experienced it. If you are lucky you will find someone who is willing to do a work around but they may be calling this in again because they still can’t get all the codes to read properly.

    • My husband and I (whose code is the same btw - so not unique again) just tried to redeem my husband's, the cashier tried to scan it and it didn't work, tried to type it manually and it didn't work, in the end he just let us grab the cans and go as he couldn't be bothered. A frustrating promo for sure

  • As a side issue what did people think of it? I think it is lacking a little in flavour but I think it would go well with a fruit punch.

    • Have them super cold like 30 mins in freezer and its really good. After taste as a hint solo but it's really watered down overall. This is why these drinks in Japan are the foreigner killer because it's goes down like water but is still 6% content.

      • I’ve found similar with Muscato. Just one more little drink because it is so delicious and that has a similar alcohol level. I went to the Innocent Bystander Barrel Haul sale and they were selling the 750 ml bottles for five dollars. That was a gooood Summer.
