    Bluetooth 4.1 lol .

these are pretty old now, that said my pair from 2018 are still trucking along pretty well

    • Does it have a mic?

      • +2

yeah, used for plenty of calls.

    • +2

Same here. Been excellent and amazing sound quality! Never missed a beat!

  • it doesn't rate very high though

    • +4

A better pair out there for $187?

  • +1

These are now 3 generations old and have not had software support in some time. JB also charging full RRP ($599) for PX7s and $299 for Beoplay H4 Gen 1 LOL, tell him he's dreaming.

  • +1

Still a great value!!! I believe at this price point guys

  • +2

Had mine for 5yrs now. Still going strong. Had no issues and would happily get again

    • Is it good for overseas travel?

      • +6

Yes absolutely. Never had battery die on a trip. Had trips close to babies and didn't notice they were crying until I took the headphones off.

        • +1

Awesome thank you! Very tempted but still have XM3s

          • +3

@KoalaTeaPuns: I have Sony XM3 too. They're so good, it doesn't feel like they need replacing them. I'll get a new pair whe these die.
BTW - I might keep them even longer - ear pads are easily replaceable and so is the battery. Alixpress sells batteries for it.

        • +5

The babies were crying because they couldn't bother you!

        • +3

I initially though you wrote "babies were dying."

I need to take my meds. SMH

I have some old B&W P5 wireless headphones, 7 years old or so, battery is still great, sound is still amazing. I had the wired P5s for 6-7 years before that (also amazing).

This is an awesome price for the PX, very tempted to purchase (though was initially thinking to go for some XM4s)

  • These vs XM4s?

  • +2

I've had a pair of these for years and much prefer them over the QC35s, WH-1000XM3s and Sennheiser PXC550s. Good buying for this price despite being an older model, I reckon.

  • +3

Personal experience with these…if you wear glasses while wearing these head phones, it won’t create a solid seal around your ear which will mean bass sounds really weak.

    • surprised after so many years they're still so bad at developing headphones that fit.

had a wired P7 back in the days, never fit right either

    • -6

There are no headaphones that accommodate glasses. Period.

      • -3

I mean we have contact lenses and laser eye so….

        • -2

I'm not complaining about headphones that don't fit…

          • -1

@TightAl: I know and nor am I having a dig, just seemed the place to point it out ;)

      • +1

My Sony XM5 over-the-ears seal around my glasses without any impact to sound and are really comfortable for long sessions. The most comfortable headphones I have ever owned.

        • Same for my Sonys. My bose seem to fit quite well too with my thick frames.

        • but XM5 is not good for those with a big head like me. too much cranial pressure. Tried it in store, only had it on for a few seconds to know it's not comfy for me.

      • Bose QC35 lmao. so comfortable.

  • How are they for gym use?

    • +4

They are quite heavy compared to others, so something to keep in mind

      • +1

Thanks Grannular. I might grab one then, Heavy is ohk.

        • +1

Got to be like Volk and train that neck.

  • +1

    Tempted.

But some reviews suggest they are a tight fit on the head.

    Any feedback if they're tight?

    • +3

Yep they’re pretty tight and pretty heavy compared to, say the Sony XM series. They don’t work with glasses as noted above.

They also have a habit of snapping where the thin steel arm supporting the ear cup meets the cylinder (mine snapped in their carrying case in my work bag).

      They do sound lovely, though.

  • +2

These compare favourably to qc 35 II. Despite their age they have USB C and Bluetooth 4.1 isn’t really an issue as they have the aptX-HD codec and range is best in class (for 4.1). Power usage downsides of Bluetooth 4 don’t really matter with a 20+ hr battery, but you’re missing out on multipoint which is a shame.
    Good deal imo.

  • have to question why these are so cheap thats quite a discount there.

    • +3

Because they’re on clearance. They’re six years old and have been superseded twice.

  • How long before you get them?

    • Currently Dec 1st.

  • Lack of multi point is the blocker for me. Looks great if that doesn't matter to you though.

  • Do they come with the double prong attachment for airplane travel?

    • No they do not.

  • $5.99 fees for delivery in a month time ! or $9.99 for 4th Dec …booo
got one anyway - paid with Ultimate Gift cards

    • JB emailed me this morning and cancelled the order.

  • This or sennheiser 458bt?

  • +1

    Thanks OP got a set

  • Thanks OP, buy now think later

  • i have no headphone now. Should i get this?

  • Heavy, and the cups are quite hard, not the most comfortable by any stretch. I sold mine on even though I liked the sound which is very neutral IMO.

  • Any tech geeks know if these will be better at reducing noise of kids at home than my Bose QC Earbuds 2? (Awesome buds btw!)

Rtings has Bose higher rated overall noise reduction.
However these manage treble better (26dB vs 36dB)
    ________Bose vs. B&W
    Base:_____25 vs. 22dB (-3)
    Mid:______30 vs. 23dB (-7)
    Treble:____26 vs. 36dB (+10)

Unless you absolutely need noise cancelling and BT/wireless I wouldn't bother with these. If you're buying for quality listening, there are better options for the same price and incredible options for not much more.

    • Do you have any recommendations?

      • What are you gonna use them for? Listening to music? Gaming? Are you gonna use them at home on the go? Budget?

        • Mostly flying for work. Podcasts and music. I have a nice set of old Ortofon IEMs but I need to get with the times and go wireless and ANC.

          • +1

@GeneralSkunk: I'd personally go with Sony XM5/XM4 or even the XM3 if you find them cheap… I had the Bose before but I honestly prefer the Sony. Battery seems to last forever, getting replacement parts if you accidently break them (don't ask… haha) is super easy and cheap (ebay!).

  • order got cancelled

    ordered 2

  • +1

Just received an email stating order has been cancelled due to insufficient stock…..got a $20 voucher for the disappointment…

    nice one JB….

  • Order cancelled, got $20 voucher as well.

  • +1

Mine was canceled too. I suspected this would happen since they are old models and no longer made. Shame, I was looking forward to this, my first BT NC headphones.

  • Order got cancelled

  • Dead and gone.
