      Bought one last week.
      Turns out you have to have a wiz light to connect it to.
      I'm taking it back.

        Looks like with some extra (but not expensive) pieces, is possible to use these without the bulbs.

        (The remote itself does not connect to your wifi. It just sends a wifi signal and whichever device listens to that wifi signal can do stuff.)

        If you know what an ESP8266 is, you'll know how cheap they are from aliexpress or similar, and perhaps already have some on hand.

        Same here! Got 2 when they were $14 at Bunnings last week. Realised it needs a bulb to be added first.
        Bought a bulb. Bulb connects in the app.
        Motion sensor still can't connect!
