I am pretty sure Bunnings stocks this, after a quick google search they do stock it but website comes as 404 not found. If they haven't updated their price you can price beat it by 10%.

Bunnings website: https://www.bunnings.com.au/aeg-18v-3-piece-brushless-6-0ah-…

Edit: Website it's now working it's the same price at Bunnings

  • Isn't AEG like Ryobi exclusive to Bunnings?

    • Ryobi it's exclusive to Bunnings but AEG I don't think it is. If they haven't updated their price then that would be and even sweeter deal.

    • Bunnings own TKD, so I'm guessing that's why they can sell AEG.

      • Oh really? I didn't know that. We learn something everyday.

        • Yeah, after a quick google i read that they bought out Adelaide Tools a few years ago, changed the name to TKD then started expanding the business outside of South Australia.

      • Cool, must be how Bunnings funnels of clearance items.

I've bought into the Makita landscape and just can't fathom this kit against $389 for the Makita brushless slide switch angle grinder (within a level of tolerence) for the same price. I don't want to have too many battery types and eco-systems, but for a home user this is just way too attractive.

I paid about $380 for this kit back in 2019, has served me well since then, would definitely recommend. Impact driver is Single-Speed with no special modes is the only downside

      • Can you feather the speed with trigger? Or is it just on/off?

        • +2

Oh yeah the trigger can definitely change the speed, I've used it to do some quite delicate work without issues

@OZKap: Talked me into it - just picked one up.

@MaxStinge: Nice, be sure to register your tools on the AEG site for extended warranty and the redemption bit kit

Only 3 years (total) for batteries though.

Bought this kit three years ago and it's never missed a beat. I've used the angle grinder to cut the top off a 9kg gas bottle and it didn't even flinch. For the home user wanting some grunt when it's needed, grab this kit it's excellent.

  • The batteries alone cost that much… Excellent deal for the prosumer.

  • After a lot of people recommending this here and other forums I ended up getting one.

Only need drills though so need to off load the grinder, batteries and charger. Assuming the market will be flooded with them soon 🤣🤣

  • How does AEG rate? After using cheap brands forever I bought a two piece DeWalt 14.4 set years ago. It's time to replace it but even with the current "roadshow" deals they're way more expensive than this. I love my DeWalt. Is this similar or better quality?

    • would be similar… aeg and dewalt are both trade quality…

actually this would be much better cause its 18v so its more powerful and u have bunnings warranty which is great.

also im pretty sure aeg batteries is compatible with a few other brands…
