  • 2nd revised shipping date just came through, it's now delayed until January 15th for me!! I ordered on Nov 22nd.

I was so excited to receive it tomorrow. Now i gotta wait a month and a half? That's quite a contrast. Hmmm, might have to consider a refund here. Gonna keep an eye on monitor deals elsewhere

Turns out this was basically a pre-order

  • Mine was supposed to ship out on the 26th. Then delayed to ship out today. I think I might cancel my order if they delay it again.

  • +3

cancelled order as shipping was delayed to 10/1/24

Dell rep had following info to share, so might be worth waiting till 2nd week dec before cancelling:

"This is to confirm you that the stocks in our DB Schenker warehouse in Sydney is currently under shortage and the incoming from the vendor site is delayed to January, 2023 and I completely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you considering this a present/gift.

The stock incoming has been moved from vendor to warehouse only on the below dates:
    48 units on 12/1/2023; 94 units on 12/15/2023; 128 units on 12/29/2023; 48 units on 1/5/2024
    "

  • Dell charged my card on 29/11 after delaying the shipping date twice (full charge, not an auth). Hopefully that means it's being shipped imminently, although there's no update to my shipping date from the current 15/01/2024.

If not, guess I'll be hoping for a better deal on an LG 32GR93U or Gigabyte M32U, currently both at $899.

    • Where is the M32U for $899?

      • I'm not sure now. Either it was a fleeting black friday deal, or I was looking at a M32UC.

        • Yeah, no BF deals on the M32U.

  • Welp, mine got delayed to Jan 16th 2024… Disappointed.

  • I got two delay emails, saying I was scheduled for January 15. But I just got a text saying my order has shipped. What is going on?

    • It's likely due to a combination of unit deliveries to the warehouse and order cancellations that are expediting the delivery for some.

I've an earlier ETA of Jan-12 but no further communication since the initial revised delivery date.

    • Same timeline for me too, but I'm not paying too much attention to the delivery date of Dec 8 until tracking shows a courier actually picked it up.

Mine's showing as in the Startrack depot 🤞

      • Did it end up arriving on Dec 8?

        • +1

Yes, overnight Syd-Bris, arrived on estimated delivery date.

    • Same here. I previously got 2 delay emails, it was saying scheduled for Jan 15th, and today i got an email saying it has been shipped and will arrive tomorrow. Hopefully it's true!
      Has yours arrived yet?

      • Also got this email in the spam folder, and a text message as well…
Order status is unchanged on the Dell order support site.
Hope to see it in the mail tomorrow!!

        Just got mine.

        • Mine arrived dead on arrival… lol. How was everyone else's monitors?

          • @ramrod1234x: mine still says Jan 11 🤨

          • @ramrod1234x: I thought mine was DoA too, but then I pressed the button to turn it on lol. Just saying in case you might have missed that lol.

            • +2

@shreav: the main big one on the bottom? Yeah i tried that :<

              thanks though!

EDIT: MY GOID, THERES AN ON BUTTON HIDDEN THERE. ok it works

              • @ramrod1234x: Happy to be of service lol. I was in your shoes too for a little while there.

        • Mine arrived today. Yessssss

  • Alright everyone what's your impressions? And what monitor were you using previously (for context)

    Any issues?
    Or super stoked?

It's great. Was using an X34P as primary before this.

      Now I am enjoying:

      • better real-estate for work
      • 4k PC gaming
      • 4k PS5 gaming (obviously better if I play on a 4k TV, but this is still pretty damn good compared to what I had before)
      • Nice. Which colour profile have you chosen?

        • I switch between Standard and FPS.

    • +1

At home, the U3223QE and U2723QE

      Then bought G3223Q.

      Using for office work.

Can't tell any difference with screen quality.

Don't like the low max height on the G3223Q .. just needs a phone-book under the base.

The mega USB-C hub options on the U27 and U32 are ok, but not critical .. perhaps easier with a decent external hub .. daisy-chain monitors suck also after trying heaps of cables and software options .. two cables wins.

      • Which colour profile are you on?

        • No idea .. can you give me a quick newbie guide for colour profiles?

          • @matt-ozb: Well i'm asking cos i'm trying to figure out the best settings myself. But check this review: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/g3223q

sRGB has the most accurate colours out of the box apparently.

I was flicking between sRGB and Standard trying to decide what i prefer. sRGB is naturally brighter than Standard so you gotta adjust brightness to compensate when comparing. Since the review says sRGB has the most accurate colours i go with that.

Then i put it on Custom Colour HDR mode (like in the review). To get to that, bring up the screen menu by pushing down on the jostick thing at the back of the monitor, scroll down to 'Display', go right, scroll to 'Smart HDR', click on it and choose "Custom Color HDR".
Then boost the contrast a bit until the brightness is where you like it. For me personally somewhere between 80 - 84 seems right. I was at 84 for a while and now i'm at 82

  • got a shipping notice, it's coming tomorrow.

    Original ETA was 10th Jan
