      • I have a kid so yes I do have plenty of those wipes lol.

  • Would this display 1440p games ok or is it better off getting a 1440p monitor for that?? My GPU can't really do 4k well.

    • +1

Just get a 1440p monitor then, you'll get better value for money.

    • yep, you can run games at a lower resolution, seperate to the monitor native resolution. Some games have this built in, they dynamically change the resolution being rendered if fps start to drop.

  • Got this in last deal. It has been fantastic and looks stunning in games at 4k.

  • Playing Control at 4k on one of these at the moment and it is an incredible experience. Would highly recommend.

  • Ok, are these any good for Xbox Series S and X, or would a 4K tv be better? Apologies I'm just a dad

    • +2

I'd say if you're going to sit right in front of it to play on the Xbox Series S and X it's going to be good. But playing from further back sitting on a couch I'd get a bigger 55" TV instead..

  • I already own a Gigabyte M32U 31.5 but am thinking of getting a second 4K monitor. Is this Dell any good? I'm thinking of getting two of these to replace the Gigabyte M32U.

    Thoughts?

    • I'm in a similar situation and it seems like a waste to buy two 144hz monitors unless you're actually going to use both of them at 144hz, i.e. gaming on both of them at the same time. Running a desktop at 144hz is arguably just a waste of electricity.

At this low price maybe you can just ignore that. I decided not to buy one because of the endless QA issues people have raised with this monitor. If you could guarantee a good unit it's probably worth it but I just couldn't handle weeks of sending monitors back and forth until I got a good one.

      • Cheers. For me, it's a dual gaming one connected to my Xbox and the other to my 4090. Also I've always had 2 x 32" monitors for work, so can't go back to a single 32". Re: Quality issues, yeah, I just scrolled up and read about it - yikes, so now I'm reluctant to pull trigger.

It was just tempting at that price as I would've been able to get 2 for a single Gigabyte M32U.

        • +2

For what it's worth, I've bought two of these and my friends/family have bought three between them - all without any issues. Just to balance the anecdotes a bit.

Dell's support is usually excellent too, although it's true that this model dips in and out of stock so I suppose there's the potential to be waiting for a replacement as some reported.

  • I think I will wait till I can get a capture card that can do 4k 144hz passthrough

  • got one during the previous deal (upgraded from the other one that's currently on special, S2722QC), and been lovin it since. perfect for work, perfect for gaming, no complaints. get one!

  • Amazing monitor. Wish I could fit another on my desk.

  • Anyone with this monitor know if it has a fan inside? Also does it heat up much during use?

    • +1

Can't hear a fan, and temperatures are nothing unusual.

    • There's a fan? lol

  • Bought this at last sale. Great monitor, so very happy with it. Use for WFH and general gaming.

  • +1

Will this work well for a PS5? I have a samsung 34 inch widescreen at the moment for work and some PC games, but need one that works well for ps5 without weird stretching

  • +1

    sorry if out of topic.
recently i just realised that USB type A 3.2 gen 1 on my laptop can output display to external 2x 4k monitors, 60hz, by going through a displaylink dock.
i thought the USB must be type C with display etc etc to be able to do the above.
    quite amazing.

  • +1

I wish this is the curve model…

  • The student 7% discount is not working for this monitor?

    • +1

Not working. This model excluded from discounts.

  • +1

Anyone has both this and the G3223D? How do they look side by side? I have the G3223D and am wondering if it will look odd to have this one next to it.

  • Does this suffer from the same screen flickering/burn issue that many users with S2721QS have experienced?

  • it says AMD Freesync, does that mean i need a Radeon graphics card for it to work?

    • No, any card will work. Or even no card (integrated graphics)

  • Do I need an upgrade? No?

  • Someone give me a reason why i don't this with my 27 ips dell 1440p, an old Samsung 48inch lcd and an old Asus 24 inch lcd.

Why do I need an extremely well priced 4k monitor that will enhance my gaming / movie needs.

    Someone tell me please…

  • Is this thing useless with a Mac? Would need to plug in 3 cables (charging/HDMI/USB downstream) to make it work?

  • +1

Don't forget to claim tax deduction next year if you work from home or have own business

    Potentially another 20-30%+ discount :)

I'd buy one if I didn't buy my 75" sony recently for gaming haha!

  • +1

Another one here who bought this in June. Absolutely faultless so far. Almost too big for me but the real estate is awesome for work/productivity. Love the Picture in Picture mode too so I can browse my PC while also doing work on my laptop.

    • How big is the pic in pic mode?y Phillips pip is too small, I can resize it to any size I want.

      • There are two main modes are 50:50 vertical but the one I use is about 1:8 in any corner. Might be slightly bigger because its definitely not 1 quarter. Works fine for my needs

        • Ok. Same then. The 50 50 vertical isn't good because huge black bars top and bottom.
The pip, too small for me, much smaller than a quarter

  • +1

Using this monitor right now! It's pretty cool.

  • -1

Is it better than qhd 144hz same monitor?
I play forza and some racing games

  • I snapped two of these monitors up on a deal about a year ago now and have been using them daily for work and play.
Just awesome coming from some older 4K 27inch monitors, haven't skipped a beat.

  • But but no usb-c

  • +1

ordered, eta is wed 15th nov, was hoping for monday :D

  • this, or…

Samsung Odyssey G70B 32" 144Hz 4K UHD 1ms HDR FreeSync IPS Smart Gaming Monitor ?

    • take dell because cheaper.

  • Should I wait until Black Friday or purchase now? The sales rep mentioned the price guarantee refund doesn't apply to Black Friday and Boxing days.

    • +2

I'm hoping this is discounted further Black Friday! Annoyed that they have excluded this monitor from the student/member discount

      • Yeah I have chat with their sales, they said no to student discount.

    • I think this is the black friday deal. If you look at Dell US store they have this monitor for 599 USD marked as a black friday deal.

I paid 599 Aud for the same thing… Lfg?

  • Anyone got a good mount to recommend for this monitor?

    • Ive got mine on North bayou F80 mount from amazon.

    • Using one on a North bayou H100. Happy with it

  • Does this model have a usb-c input? for macs

    • Nope

  • Tempted to repalce the Acer X34 (3440x1440) 60Hz (100Hz Overclock) Gsync Monitor with this monitor but not sure the response time would be any good. Plus a little scared everything will be too small.

    • +1

I have an X34 as well and just received this new Dell yesterday. The colour is so much better out of the box eventhough they're both IPS panels. No noticeable difference in response time when gaming. If you don't mind 4K over Ultrawide my suggestion is to go ahead and get one! For $600 it's a great deal and you won't miss your X34.

      • @gabes thank you for sharing that you're happy with the Dell 32" over the X34
Still considering a QD-OLED 27" over this one but will need to decide soon as black friday is upon us

  • Just received mine and it’s got a thin blue vertical line :( even in self test.

Only visible when the screen is black.

    Guessing this is a return?

    • +1

Dell QC for you right there

  • Perhaps a longshot, but can anyone with this monitor confirm whether there's was well pre-calibrated out of the box? Just trying to gauge the validity of Rting's sample.

  • As someone who has only had 27" 2k 144hz monitors, I'm super tempted…
I'm stuck between grabbing this or an ultrawide 21:9… Is Anyone able to speak from experience about how this compares to something like AOC's 34" ultrawide??

  • I just clicked on the deal and the 34 inch is bigger and $50 cheaper. Am I missing something? Something wrong with a curved monitor or something?

    • Its also VA (slightly worse than IPS) and WQHD instead of UHD. I guess its up to personal preference, but this is a better looking panel overall

      • Ah ok. makes sense now. The 32 inch has better technology

  • Mine is coming in a few days, anyone who received theirs have any issues with it? Just concerned about some of the comments from earlier about QC.

    • I bought one via this deal, had significant vertical grey streaks when viewing grey backgrounds such as discord in DisplayHDR600 mode, in the process of returning it.

    • I just got mine. No dead pixels and no funny business.

  • +1

Just to let you know. The monitor arrived 2 days ago. Couldn't find any Dead Pixels. So far, everything looking OK. Let's see….

  • This or wait for Asus 32" OLED 240Hz @ $2000 in Jan 2024
    ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM
    https://www.asus.com/news/pn9nse4qk6oednvv/

    • I heard that might get delayed, no?

      • Yeah I heard this also. Dell might beat them to the party

    • +4

Depends if you want to spend $600 on a monitor or $2000 on a monitor lol

  • How much are these usually?

    • +1

This specific monitor was originally at around $700 (has come down from higher). Other monitors with the same specifications hover around $700-$1000.

      • +1

So basically this is a $100 off usual price and every body in the comment section is going nuts about it?

  • +3

    Just purchased this. Pretty excited.
I have a Dell 4k screen already but it's 60hz and it's VA. While videos look pretty damn good on it, the motion is crap and therefore it sorta doesn't really have a premium experience.
I'm building a new PC next week and i want that premium experience.

I'll report back here if there are any problems. If you don't hear from me then everything is all good

  • can a 7800xt run well on this monitor?

    • Yep, can probs do 60fps 4k at medium settings in most titles

  • +1

My monitor order was originally expected tomorrow, but Dell just pushed back my delivery date by another week :( Was hoping to avoid the BF shipping logjam.

    • Same here. My order has been stuck on "in production" since Nov 22, hasn't been shipped yet. I ordered on Nov 22 and they estimated delivery for Nov 24. Got an email on the 23rd saying it has been delayed a week, now expected Nov 30. If that's the only day i can deal with that, but hopefully it doesn't become a recurring thing.

      • Mine is delayed to Jan 12th…

        • Ah (profanity), i just got a 2nd delay notification, this time delayed to Jan 15th!!

          • @Barncore: Ok, just got an email from Dell, apparently it got shipped today and will arrive tomorrow. Thank the lord

            • @Barncore: Did they actually deliver it in time and you have it now or?

              • +1

@D-Man: Yep, once they moved it ahead and said it'll arrived on the 12th it arrived on the 12th. I'm using it right now

    • And delivery pushed back a second time to Jan 15 :( People ordering after me still have earlier dates in Jan, though I'm guessing at this point any dates are largely fictional. Pissed that I missed the opportunity to shop any other BF monitor deals because I thought this one was being delivered in a couple days.

  • I've ordered this. Any suggestions on a decent dual VESA mount that can hold this along with an Acer X34P? Appreciating any replies in advance. :)

  • I have received mine about a week ago. No issues with it that I can see thus far. I am using it for work, streaming and gaming. I have to say PS5 looks amazing on it for the price! Definitely worth it if you are willing to gamble on the QC (though I did hear Dell is very good to deal with re warranty).

  • Oh no, I missed it just when I was about to press the trigger.

Any way to get someone at Dell to reopen the price briefly?

  • I tried with a couple of Dell online chat people, and one supervisor, but they say they can't reoffer the price.

  • ordered mine 8 days ago but still hasn't shipped.

    • ordered 24/11 , new shipping date is 10/1/2024

  • Revised shipping date for me is also 10th Jan… thats way too far out. Why is shipping in Aus so long compared to the US!

  • +2

The delivery date for your order to arrive has been updated to JAN. 12, 2024.

    • I've received the same arrival date push back; quite annoying.

I'm questioning if it's worth waiting that long considering the model will transition to a previous year's model and potentially due for another sale that usually arises during the Christmas and New Year period or a further price drop as it's only $100 off the current price.

  • Damn, just got the notification that mine's been delayed too. Really wanted to get some 4K gaming in over the Christmas break
