For Black Friday this year, ALDI will be running a limited-time 10% off the $25 Pocket Money Prepaid Gift Card.

This card usually incurs a $3.95 activation fee, which is being waived this time round, so it'll only cost you $22.50, for $25 worth of money!!

      Remember it's not midnight to midnight, it's over the last 24 hours…..is how I think it works.
      Example: If you activated x1 at 3pm yesterday, means that you can only activate x3 more between then and 3pm today. At 3:01 today you could the activate another and so on. Kind of a silly method. Best just do x4 at the same time each day. Easier to keep track.

      Why would you even think of using this for actual purchases? They have the nerve to charge $25 for disputes, at least the coles mastercard let you to do it for free and throw in a whooping $6 dollar discount per $250 card.

    None of my local Aldi cared when I told them about the limit of 4. So I just asked them to be put through on separate transactions. I only went to three today as I forgot about the deal, no one else was interested and there are so many still on the shelves. I think it’s a better deal than the Coles MC because the balance stack on a single card, can use it to pay for bigger purchases. Well, bigger purchases today is just a normal one back a couple years anyway.

    Hey guys, has anyone been able to use this as a credit card to buy anything online yet?
    I just tried to buy something from umart and it just throws an error "Do not honor" whatever that means.

    Really thinking that hunting around for these cards has been a waste of time and too much hassle :(

        Have to either pay on ATO portal or the Govt Easy pay website

          I think you can’t use credit card/prepaid GC for bill payment at AUSP. I was able to use EFTPOS (perfect GC) card for strata payment.

          In my experience, the support agents only ask for the name and mobile number of the gift card recipient.

                @SunnyinDubai: 5/account. It is definitely 5 not 4 for me. The only limit I can find is $999 for account balance. As long as you keep moving it out, it should not be a concern at all. This week is pretty good for that purpose too.

    Just called them about the 2 texts I didn't receive from late last night and the CSR said that there's an issue with their SMS provider at the moment. They have said that once they sort it out they will re-send any unsent links.

    For now all we can do is wait until it's resolved.

          Give them a call and see what they say. My mum had to call a couple of times and they were pretty helpful and easy to work with.

But like you said, if they find a reciept for paid and then refunded (with the card numbers) , how can i prove i was not given the money back if i paid cash. Unless i ask them to pull video survielence

                      @easternculture: Uhh asked if that cashier was up on their petty cash if there was a difference they will sort it out. Still probably best to sort it out instore.
