Unsure when the deal ends but was previously $250 off and now listed as "Price matched" at $350 off which is decent considering it comes with the $79 3 extra accessories.

    Shoryuken!

  • Is this the 2022 version? I'm so confused with the different V8 models (2022 doesn't even show up on their website)

    • The sku is 394441-01. Searching OzB with this, previous member posts confirmed 2022.

$399 on their ebay store using the $50 off code https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155036706159

    • Damn! I should have checked there first. Should post it as a new deal!

      • You are welcome to post it 😀

    • tempting, mine shows 30$ off? is there a different code?

        Needs eBay plus PLUSNOV

        • ah thanks! might sign up for a month!

          • @facesareblurredx: Nice, I just logged into my eBay account for the first time in ages and navigated over to the eBay Plus page to find I had a limited time deal of $9.99 for 12 months of Plus. Joined up and received the $50 discount for the vacuum. So glad I checked these comments first, I was originally going to buy it from JB Hifi!

@shazzagraz: I hope you activated Shopback first for $20 cash back. $10 profit and free eBay plus 😀

              • @Buy2Much: I didn't. Bugger! Always forget about Shopback. Oh well, still happy with the deal I got. Actually, my wife is even happier lol

              • @Buy2Much:

Payment using any type of voucher or eBay credit may result in your purchase being ineligible to earn cashback

                • @G-rig: I was replying back to shazzagraz how to get 12 month ebay Plus for nothing instead of $9.99 out of pocket. It’s a totally separate thing!

                  • @Buy2Much: oh right, you'd have to check the code works as well as cahsback - i wouldn't worry as $50 off code seems good to me.

                    $9.99 cheap

  • They seem to be price matching JB: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/dyson-v8-handstick-vacuum…

(Or JB is price matching Dyson)

cashback 12% on their site, so about the same as with prime $50 saving

    • 12% are for "eligible haircare products". 3.5% for the vacuums.

  • I've just vacuumed all the hardfloors I have with V8 and the mattress tool on turbo. Little sense doing it on the regular setting, but lasts longer than the motorised accessories, because it doesn't have to run their separate motors.

The motorised brush picks up some stuff, it's good with hair (human hair at least - no idea about pets), but makes crumbs and other small pieces shoot and scatters them around. Like, it's not the end of the world, but absolutely annoying and makes you wonder what the engineers were thinking…

Anyway, I should look for a bigger version of the mattress tool, so a very regular vacuuming accessory/nozzle. And when my V8 breaks down one day, at that price I'll get a different reputable brand with all the accessories included. Because I don't expect it to be any worse.

these are toy vacuums, and they die within a surprisingly short time frame, and you'll never guess how expensive the parts are, if you can get them…

even their mains powered cousins are a shade of the quality they used to be, i give my money to whatever KMart has for sale and they last longer and do a frankly better job

    • Depends what you mean by ‘surprisingly short time frame’ I guess, but my V8 does the job well and is still going strong after 6 years. Obviously the battery doesn’t hold quite as much charge as when new (like any battery), but still more than enough for the whole place with plenty left over, other than that no issues at all. Would definitely buy again, especially at these prices.

  • Gadouken!

  • I have a v6. It is about 3-4 years old now. Is it a worth upgrade?

  • Great units got the exclusive edition previously. $400 is a bargain, paid about $450 17 months ago.
Worth having the extras, would cost a lot if you had to buy any, and the basic v8 kit doesn't offer enough adapters etc. no need to pay a lot more for fancier models.

  • Could anyone who already has this please tell me the input voltage range on the charger?
    Will it do 100v?

JB Hi-fi has dropped the price down to $399, was able to get Dyson to price match on their live chat so still get the bonus accessories!

Purchased on Monday 13/11/2023. Called Dyson today, and they agreed to refund $50.

      • Hi Ozb-lurker,

Did you purchase direct through Dyson or via their eBay store? I grabbed one from eBay Tuesday night, not sure if they would refund the difference …
