This is a great kit to practice through hole and a little surface mount soldering. It's not difficult but it will challenge a beginner (around 2-3 hours to finish). Great practice and learning experience with different types of components.
Comes with a nice enclosure and is actually very functional once assembled.
- The function generator outputs a pulse wave with variable width and can be used as a reference or as a little audio oscillator. The more common uses would be as a small multimeter, can it can measure low current and low voltages, suitable for smaller electronic projects.
