400TBW for a 2TB TLC drive!? Doesn't sound right… (and yes, it is 400TBW in the datasheet)

    • With rampant part swapping in SATA SSD drives

Crucial is Micron. Crucial swapping QLC into their previously top tier MX500 sata drive, and Micron isn't?

      Doubtful.

    • Yep it is very low compared to Samsung SSDs, even lower than the TLC MX500, especially for 2TB!

    • 400TBW … no thank you…

The question isn't what they have on the spec sheets at release, the question is what is actually in the drive.

MX500 had ram and TLC back in the day. Now its QLC.

This Micro (aka Crucial) drive had ram and TLC, what does it have now?

    • that could explain the low 400TBW

    • Looking at the specs, it’s pretty much identical, bar the name.

    Followed by

    Endurance (TBW): 400 TB

I hope no one purchased based on this.
