  • Doesn't this normally come on sale at $999 often, at various stores? Paying over $1k is a bit steep imo.

    • Here's a better deal that was posted here almost two years ago. Not sure if it had a redemption deal attached to it.

  • Great machine, I have one.

  • The bonus palm sander and chisels probably bring the value closer to $999 if not better.

I was hoping to get Bunnings to do their 10% off but they have reduced their price too. Damn!

  • Can’t justify replacing my Ryobi I got from Bunnings for like $320 when they price matched Aldi lmao.

    • I’ve thought a few times about getting the Ryobi, but haven’t yet. How do you rate it? Pros/Cons?

Haven't had any issues so far! But I've only used it with pine, and I really don't use it enough to justify it's existence in my shed lol.

I scored that as well- worked fine for my initial use, but slowly died with each use. I finally killed it with some hardwood(started smoking!!!) - returned it to Bunnings after nearly 3 years, but still in warranty, and got a full refund lol!!

  • There are many options available for thicknessers.

Here's a link to Timbecon - they use Sherwood brand

I have the one with the helical head- amazing finish- so smooth. way less noise and faster as well- would never go back to normal blades

  • I have one of these and it is great.

Considered the offerings from Timbecon and H&F but everything about the Dewalt save for no helical blades struck me as superior.

When it is time for new blades (comes with a spare set) I will buy a helical kit.

Not the easiest thing to carry around if you do not have a permanent location or mobile stand for it.

  • FYI this is back on sale at Sydney tools but not yet matched by Bunnings meaning you can get the extra 10% off.
