  • @gotyourback, does use of Temu credit invalidate cash back?

    • I won't risk it. Unless you have a lot

    • +1

I have not been able to get my existing account credit recognised when using Shopback to start…

    • They haven't said specifically, my instinct is that because gift card use can invalidate Cashback that Temu credit use would be the same, so I'd avoid. Will check in with them and update before the next promo.

      • @gotyourback any updates on Temu credit and cash back?

        • Hey mate, cheers for your patience! To confirm, use of store credit will not invalidate Cashback, but Cashback will only be paid on the portion not paid for using store credit, so will be based only on the amount charged less GST/delivery.

  • Wowww

  • For new customers.

Check if you also have a $10 Temu Challenge

Oh nice, thanks. Got $24 worth of stuff, should cost me $2 if all goes to plan.

      • Wish I got this, i think it’s targeted

  • If you use Microsoft Edge, it has a built in coupon finder that can help you search for coupons that give you an upfront discount

I recently got a 50% off voucher (4 days ago) that can only be redeemed by new app users. This may be preferable to 50% Cashback since the transaction takes a whopping 180 days to approve.

  • Ordered from Temu once and deleted the account in Sep.

Anyone knows if I'm a new customer when I sign up again?

Don't know what details are kept

Quote from Temu re: account deletion:

We may be required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, tax, security, integrity, or compliance reasons for a limited period of time, after which it will be deleted.

    Temu is a scam

    • +1

Depends on what you mean by scam. If by scam, you mean horrendous quality of products, then yes it's a scam. If by scam you mean taking your money and not sending the products, it's not a scam.

What about the data harvesting part?

        • Buy through the website if you're worried about the app. Also, there is no proof of them data harvesting other than the whole idea of Chinese = Data harvesting.

          • @DontNeedThis: They were delisted from Google and Apple for privacy and data violations.

I mean, just google "does temu harvest my data" and enjoy the read. It's pretty clear.

      • Check prices elsewhere first!
AliExpress was cheaper on some comparable items.
Gateron original keyswitches appear to be available from a legitimate site cheaper than Temu.
All the coupon shit is a distraction that is only available if you are willing to sign up a mate, so probably easier to ignore it all and save the hassle.

    • Their app is spyware, it makes tiktok look like a privacy app, almost every permission possible.

  • It sure does feel like it, strangely enough, I do receive stuff when i order on Temu :O

  • Temu is the first vendor I've ever had a missing cashback claim denied on.

GYB is kindly helping out with this, but I will likely avoid Temu in future.

  • How is tracking for Temu in general? Can anyone comment with their experience. I read somewhere it rarely tracks

    • It can be slow sometimes fast sometimes none at all atleast in my experience

    • Never tracked for me before

  • I got two rolls and I got the best prize both times!!!

    • Yes, but were you able to use whatever they promised you?

      • Well, it entailed downloading their infamous app so… I dare not venture unto those waters.

  • ok that was dumb, didn't see the max and spent $100 :(

double whammy if it doesn't track :'(

  • No tracking here yet, over 24 hours later. Others in the same boat?

    • All good, came through just now.

    • Yes, I had to lodge a report. And hence I missed out on the $10 extra bonus.

      • The report was eventually denied by Temu. I am not happy.
