    Went in and collected, scanned and showed ID. As the young front office employee went to collect my item in hand, manager starts yelling out that they’re not to sell anymore spidermen (!) — unfortunately by that time it was in my hands, exit stage left brisk walk out of store, to see the young employee engaged in conversation as to why heh..

        • No. It’s a pricing error.

          Someone with butter fingers probably entered it incorrectly in Big W’s system as $20.

          MyDeal - as a third party marketplace - probably just pulls the information from Big W’s system - hence has the same pricing error

          And the same cancellation once head office realised the pricing error

      The only thing they killed was their loyalty over the holiday season

    • They didn’t kill the code. It is a “one use” code - so those that didn’t apply the code to Spider-Man can use it to get 10% off for anything else.

      Those that used it on Spider-Man and subsequently had the order canceled - the code will be marked as “used” and not reinstated.

      Hence can no longer use the code.

        So it seems that C&C orders from Big W are slipping through the cracks. While delivery orders are being cancelled left right and centre. Obviously if you order for C&C early enough the pricing error wasn't caught by then.

    I picked my order up in the arvo; I was expecting them to cancel my order too. The BigW staffer congratulated me on scoring a great deal and I said it was thanks to OzB.

    They even threw in a mini Picnic in the click-and-collect satchel. Now all I need is a PS5.

  • My order was still ready to pickup this morning, went to BigW Merrylands and came out with the disc version a few minutes later.

    • I still have mine to pick up from Merrylands will they say anything if I’m late?

      • Not sure, they didn't say a word, just gave me my copy this morning

    Got my copy, but I had to fight the manager for it lol.

    First she tried to tell me they had no stock because all stock had been recalled.
    "So ill just refund you" to which I told her I didn't want a refund (she said this about 5 times, to which I told her 5 times I didn't want a refund). She then told me they could only keep the order on the system for 10 days, so she will just refund me, to which I told her no, I don't want a refund.

    Then I said I will just wait until you have stock.
    She then said she will go and call the supplier to see when stock will come.
    She came back after 5minutes and said she doesn't know when they will have stock and she will keep it on the system until she finds out tomorrow.

    Then when I went to the entertainment counter I asked for a copy, and low and behold.. he pulled one straight out of the drawer.
    He couldn't give me my click and collect there so had to take it back to the customer service desk.

    Once there, the woman called the manager again and I said, "look I found stock, can I pick up my order now please?"
    to which she then told me the games had been recalled because the wrong disk was in the cases.
    I then said "ok lets open it and see, to which she refused and offered me a refund again, to which I said no Again.
    She kept saying the games had the wrong disk over and over and kept saying she will just process me a refund.

    After about 5min of back and forth, I said "you know what, it doesn't matter, ill just take it with whatever game it has in it" Because I knew damn well she was lying.
    She then said she can't because they were recalled. I said ok, can I see where it says that and why I cannot collect something from you when I have already paid for it.

    We went back and forth over and over saying it had the wrong disk, its recalled, etc, etc.
    To which I kept saying, I would like what I paid for please, there is stock right there.

    In the end she had to go and "call the regional manager" to which she said I could have ONE copy only (I ordered 3, one for me and one each for my brothers) but settled with one copy because I knew so many others just had there order cancelled and I was lucky to get even one.

    But yeah, got it in the end but she sure didn't make it easy for me XD

    • so if my order has been cancelled due to "unable to source item", can I go in store and find the game and say hey I found the game can you honour it?

        Or even if she said, no head office has cancelled all orders now because it was an error.
        I wouldn't have had a leg to stand on, but the fact she was pulling lie after lie out her butt, meant I wasnt going to let it go lol.

      I don’t get why a multi-billion company would instruct their staff to not honour a price error and make up stuff to make themselves look like clowns. It’s not like they would have received hundred of thousands of orders for this game at $18/$20. Poor form.
