As name suggests, get 8 weeks free after holding policy for 8 weeks if you sign up for hospitals and extras cover and have not been with Doctors Health Fund in the past 12 months.
If you are a medical practitioner with Avant, you get 10 weeks free instead of 8.

Can be used in conjunction with Refer-a-Friend promotion (both referrer and referee gets a $100 Prezzee Smart eGift Card after referee has held policy for 8 weeks)

  Note that their levels of hospital cover are:
  Bronze+
  Gold (including obstetric)
  Gold with highest rebates of any insurer.

  They do not have silver cover.
  The gold cover is great for maximizing coverage and minimising gap payments, but those who are looking for a middle tier and don't need obstetric cover should probably go with an insurer that offers a silver policy.

  they are now waiving two month waiting period on extras if you join this month. Their extras are really good, especially for dental, I often get 100% back.
