    Nice one, thanks!

Thanks OP. Can we pre-emptively buy games from the Nintendo store if we don't own a switch yet, or isn't that possible? I'd guess it's not possible :/

    • +2

Yes you should be able to if you have a Nintendo ID already. If you don't you can create one here

Then follow the game link deal and click Proceed to Purchase. It should then ask you to link your payment method to your Nintendo ID. Good luck!

        Thanks very much mate! 👌

      • I tried and got "Error Code: 9001-0026 In order to continue, please access Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch console linked to this Nintendo Account."

        • Same here

@colinsi: I did a little reading online and supposedly you need to have a Switch connected online at least once to buy Switch games.

        • Damn! Sorry everyone.

        • Same, super annoying.

Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A

    • Can’t remember which contra I played when I was little. Is this cheat code specific to a game or the entire collection

    • Is this still working on Switch?

      • I couldn't get this to work for the switch version.
        Not could I get the
right, left, down, up, B, A to work for Contra 2.

        • Try pause, then enter the code, then unpause.

      • apparently does with slightly different buttons

  • I bought this on Ps5 and don’t know how to play it. It runs automatically just like a cartoon. Can someone help me thanks.

    • +1

There are 25 games listed, so not sure how to assist. Maybe hit the start button or X to begin playing? They are all pretty self explanatory to play.

      • Yeah, I tried even spamming the buttons but the only thing that ran was the gameplay animations. Have you played it?

        • Not on PS, sorry.

    Thanks op, lunch sorted.

  • With these collections, just checking if we already get enough from Nintendo Online in Megadrive, NES, GB games etc.

Then again it is only $3…

  • Wtf… lucky i havent bought any of them thanks OP!!

  • Castlevania was such a hard game

  • Thanks!
Went to buy and said i already owned cadtlevania lol

Got contra, had some Nintendo BS coins, $2.60, sold!

  • Must be my top 3 childhood bundles, thanks bought all 3

  • CastleVania collection is wonderful. I purchased it on Xbox a few years ago (during a sale but it wasn't as juicy as this discount!!). Making my way through the collection again, but will endeavor to get it on the Switch at $3, it'll be worth playing it port ably at some stage!

Castlevania collection was ported by M2 so should be quality.

  • Some of the 8 bit adn 16 bit console games are free from the eShop if I am not wrong. ??

Free if you have a Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) subscription.

  • Might pick it up with my spare GPs.

  • Are these all on the NSO?

    • No a small subset are.

  • Thanks OP. Got it.

  • Would be nice if they did it for all the gba and ps ones. That’s the biggest reason for me to consider those retro handhelds. Unless we can already play them on the switch somehow?

    • Actually I found the ‘Advance’ collection for 50% off! This is pretty good.

  • 3 no-brainer purchases. Love the amount of retro on the Switch.

  • Only issue with the Contra and Castelvania games is that for some ridiculous reason you can't play 4:3 without scan lines. To me that is the best ratio (fills from top to bottom) as the others have borders everywhere. All other ratios have scan line options on/off.

    Ridiculous to be honest.
