On sale is this small handheld game console from Powkiddy. It's more powerful than the popular Miyoo Mini+ and can handle up to PS1 games. The dual joysticks certainly make this form factor a lot more attractive too.

Featuring a 3.5" OCA 640x480 display, the usual buttons including dual joysticks and shoulder buttons, 2 USB-C ports for charging/OTG, 2 microSD card slots, 3.5mm audio jack, inbuilt speaker and a 3500mAh battery with over 5 hours of playtime.

If you're wanting to use custom firmware for a better experience this one supports ArkOS.

  You can get the r36s for about $40usd which is a comparable device (and more ergonomic)

    Agreed.

    I got the R36S for about the same price on 11.11 sales.

    Lots of retro handhelds much cheaper but if one missed out on 11.11 sales, might have to wait around for some good deals again …

    Yep, easy ways to get around it by flashing custom OS and getting ROM packages off Archive.org.

    You are paying for the hardware, so I wouldn't call it a scam. Most users will flash whatever OS and Roms they prefer…. This particular device is overpriced compared to other offerings online however
