They called me and wanted to cancel it

        • That's interesting… as they are still taking preorders at the moment, and still quoting a 23 December delivery date.

Makes no sense to take preorders and for them to want to cancel an order because it is oos???

          Samsung pls.

          • +1

@AAAB: @aaab hmmm they might want to sell full price? If that's the case, it's bad

            • +1

@Son of Matrix: My thoughts exactly. Demand is probably high, so the stock they do have they probably want to sell at full price.
Can anyone confirm if they have ordered from mid October onward and have received their order?

        • Geez!!! Man I feel for ya

        • Thanks for this update Champas - what was the outcome? Did you insist that Samsung fulfil its obligations or has it been cancelled?

          • +1

@Tororo: They called me today and asked if I wanted to cancel my order. I told them not interested in any cancellation. They are playing games. They are trying to make us cancel the order, this is preorder so difficult for them to justify the cancellation. Samsung is hopeless. They also try to offer me 10% voucher for mobile phone purchase and 15% for home appliances, if I cancel my order. I told him I am not interested in buying any thing from Samsung until they fulfill current order.

            • @imranauz: Stay strong mate! It is now showing delivery on 27/12/2023 for me.

In the website, it says if u buy now delivery on 4/2/2024. Lol

              • +1

@Son of Matrix: For me it says now “Arrives before official release on 30/12/2023 Standard Delivery - Drop Off Service Only”

  • +1

I got a call from them (a Phillipines-based call centre) a few days ago advising new delivery date of 4 January. My order page on Samsung site still says 18 December.

At this point they're just picking random new delivery dates. The call centre reps would have zero information as to what is going on or when delivery will occur.

The rep did not say anything about canceling the order, although I made it crystal clear from the outset that I expected Samsung to fulfil its obligations without further delay.

But I think the possibility is growing that this order will ultimately be cancelled either unilaterally by Samsung or because I give up waiting. Either way I won't deal with them again.

    • +1

The Rep who called me tried his level to persuade me for cancellation. He tried to scare me away.

  • I've been following this thread and just thought I'd share some positive news. I ordered early October too and have been waiting for delivery. I got a message today from ANC saying delivery is scheduled for 4 Jan and the status on the Samsung website has changed to Shipped.

Will post here if I actually receive it!

    • Same Order 19th Nov Received message today from ANC saying delivery is scheduled for 4 Jan and the status on the Samsung website has changed to Shipped. Not sure if they have actually any stock available to post because , before receiving message today I talked to the representative and he told me no stock is available.

      • Same order and same message here! Fingers crossed

        • @tfresh @imranauz what's ANC? I checked the Samsung website it says Shipped too. But I don't know when it will arrive. It says Get it by 02/01/24 Standard Delivery - Drop Off Service Only

    • Likewise, have just received confirmation of shipment & delivery in early January.

  • I am not sure whether I will receive it today.

On Samsung website, it says Get it by 2/1/2024.

15 minutes ago, on Samsung website, it changed from Shipped to On The Way.

When I put the tracking number from Samsung on ANC website, ANC says can't find it.

So I have to rush home now.

    • Called them. They can find the number, will arrive between 3pm to 6pm 😘

      • Hope everything goes well for you. Let us know about your experience with the monitor. Did you find any Arm for it yet.

        • No arms yet. Will temporarily put downstairs first on the bunnings plastic table lol

      • Did you get your monitor.

        • Yes sir, I got it at 3pm yesterday. Will be unpacking today. Are you able to check the status of your delivery on ANC for tomorrow?

          • +1

@Son of Matrix: Alright, guys have opened it and gone through the first test. My weak eye could not see any dead pixels. first impressions are not overwarming, it looks dull and would need some playing. I have tested it with my Lenovo laptop running 4060.

        • I just booted it up…dead on arrival and a line of dead pixels at the bottom right corner…..

Can't get it to display anything, there's some faint lights and when there's light, I can see a line cut across at the corner of the screen, 2 cm

        • Seems painless when I chat with Samsung. They asked me to take a picture of the box and the picture of the crack pixel.

Then they ask me to wait a few minutes.

Then they say someone will pick up the monitor and I will be sent a new one.

Looks like I am getting a replacement later than you guys that will be receiving early this month or tomorrow!

          • @Son of Matrix: My God, I was expecting they would fix all the problems. Mian is coming tomorrow between 1:30 and 4:30. I hope it will not have any issues.

            • @imranauz: Yours should be ok. I took one bad one for the team!

The rep say I will get the replacement within 21 to 30 days.

Hope I will be prioritized in front of the backlogs……

              • +1

@Son of Matrix: I hope they will send your prioritised. This is a really big annoyance.

            • @imranauz: @imranauz Have you received it?

          • @Son of Matrix: Sorry to hear that you have to get a replacement.

I just got mine today too, also have a dead pixel but only 1… looks like I’ll be giving Samsung a call too. @Son of Matrix which customer service line did you call?

            • +1

@tfresh: @tfresh Sorry to hear that mate! I have used the chat function: https://www.samsung.com/au/support/contact/#start-chat

Let us know how you go!

I received an e-mail saying someone will contact me to pick up in a few days and I can see a new order for the replacement monitor (Awaiting dispatch)

My lemon is 2023.10 Made in Vietnam version no: CA01.

              What's yours?

              • @Son of Matrix: Thanks mate. How do you check what version the monitor is?

@david8 this is the video I found that is supposed to fix it if you want to give it a try. There are others too:
                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjdrMuKpaCI&embeds_referring…

                • @tfresh: It's behind the monitor. If you go behind the monitor, bottom left corner. You have to remove the back cover if you have put it on already.

                • @tfresh: Thanks for that. I tried two different apps for this and kept it running for six hours or so, unfortunately no change.

Talked to Samsung and they are gonna send a technician to check it.

              • @Son of Matrix: My Batch is the same 2023.10 Made in Vietnam version no: CA01. I am really worried now.

                • @imranauz: Is your one ok so far?

                  • @tfresh: I haven’t open it yet. I will test it tomorrow

                • @imranauz: 3 out of 3 has defect lol. That's so bad.

Surely can't be 100% with defect.

                  Fingers crossed for you @imranauz

            • @tfresh: also got mine with a single stuck pixel (i.e. not dead, but constantly stuck to green). Seems like a huge hassle to get it exchanged just for this, but on the other hand it is brand new and costs a lot of money…

              • @david8: Sorry to hear that mate!

Maybe try to fix it yourself. I did a quick google seems like its fixable for some people.

No guarantee if you return and get a replacement, it will be perfect and less problem. omg

                • @Son of Matrix: Just an update, I've contacted support and they've raised a ticket to ask for a replacement. Review process is 7-10 business days and then replacement period is 21-30 days which means its up to a 6-8 week wait.

I asked to see if they could expedite given that it took 90 days to deliver in the first instance.

They did say theres 40 units in stock in the warehouse so hopefully it doesn't take too long

                  • @tfresh: Wow 40..they must have a really big shipment since they need to fulfil so much backlogs.

The review just a day for me so you should be receiving an email that someone will contact u to pick up pretty soon.

This batch seems not exciting, even without faults, looking at @AAAB and @imranauz replies.

                  • @tfresh: @tfresh, mate, I just got an e-mail this morning from "Customer Services Team" that I will get the monitor on 16/1/2024. Fingers crossed for a PERFECT one.

                    • @Son of Matrix: wow thats awesome, best of luck mate!

did they come pick up your dead one already?

                      • @tfresh: No they haven't. I think new one will arrive before they pick up the faulty one. Wonder if I can get the faulty one repaired and I get an extra monitor

                        • @Son of Matrix: oh wow, they came to pick my one up today but haven't sent a new one yet… The order does show up on my orders page but no delivery date

                          • @tfresh: How did they contact you to pick up? Did they call you? What's the number they called from?

What's your status of the new order? So your previous order status changed to returned?

The order website still showing arrive 4/1 Awaiting dispatch status but email from Samsung Customer Services Team says they going to shipped it tomorrow 16/1. The email shows my previous order number while the order website shows a new number.

Hopefully they stuff out my orders. Geez

                            • @Son of Matrix: So after I got in touch with customer service to submit the issue, I got an SMS from ANC to book in a pick up time. That was over a week or so ago and I arranged it for today.

Yesterday I got a text that booked an actual time slot (10am -1pm).

Today, they called me in the morning before coming. It gets delivered to a place called SEKO Logistics. Funnily enough, my ANC tracking does not say it was delivered. It did record that it was picked up though.

I have two Samsung orders at the moment:
                              1. The original - it says refund in progress
                              2. A new one - it says awaiting dispatch, so stock hasn't been allocated yet.

                              • @tfresh: Thanks for the detailed update!

Did you pack the old monitor up or they came and pack the monitor up for you?

Hmm I didn't get my monitor yesterday. The call centre says 3 to 5 days after 16/1. Still at awaiting dispatch. :(

                                • @Son of Matrix: I packed it up for them, the guys just came to pick up. They did have two people though which is good.

Ah bummer, hopefully it gets delivered soon. I need to chase my orders up too because they haven't moved.

                                  • @tfresh: @tfresh Private message me before you contact them please.

  • Link to my unfortunate pixel crack
    https://imgur.com/a/5YbXIwv

  • Reporting back in - received mine on 4/1 from the same order as you guys in this deal.

Noticing a lot of non-uniformity in the grey when running greyscreen testing. Also flickering when running gsync (i know its not listed as compatible but its quite a severe issue).

No dead pixels that I have noticed but hard for me to tell coming from a monitor with much less grainy of a matte coating.. All whites look a bit rainbowy…

Did have the monitor display tv like static when the pc rebooted back up from sleep but a restart fixed that…odd…

    • Thanks mate for the update. Keep us updated!

      • I think I found a dead or stuck pixel? grey spot about 1mm that doesn't disappear. Washes out to grey with extreme viewing angles.

Link to 'spot' and picture of the static mentioned before. Will be good to know if anyone else gets the same problems.

Note monitor shipped with firmware 1003.

        https://imgur.com/a/5N0A0H2

        • Better post it in reddit too. I have never seen static on monitors before. That static looks scary lol. And not even. Is the laptop or desktop connecting to it switched on?

  • +1

    Heads up:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/1785tc…
    mine died yesterday as well.

I got mine from this deal:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/796505

hopefully just an issue with the first batch, but man… lasted just over 3 months…

for a high end monitor this is pretty poor on samsungs behalf….

that said, Im writing on an old

considering my chg90 also failed and needed a repair in the warranty period, and my father inlaws TV had to be repaired in the warranty period.

I'll be giving samsung a miss in future i think.

that said, I am writing this on my old s27A350h which must be about 10-15 years old now.

    • +2

The reddit thread makes it sound like the model should be recalled. Pretty shocking.

    • +1

      Damn :(
Crazy so many people have issues on that thread

    • They didn't even come out and look at mine they just said they have ordered the parts, so they obviously know what the problem is from many of them dying.

      • So bad….

      • +3

Fixed today no issues… fixed in under a week, the techs said they havent seen many die… it ended up being th led driver board and not the power supply… absolutly no issues with samsung organising the repair.
