4GB RAM is very limiting these days….

On a Windows machine yes. Doable on a Chromebook.

No, the last few updates have made it worse. The used RAM is now mostly 3.5 -3.7 GB. Despite resetting the Chromebook multiple times , it is slow and mostly unusable.

          Powerwash?

        • That suck! Was expecting duet 3 is much faster than my current duet and looking forward for a upgrade!

May be need the duet 5 with 8gb ram instead

I haven't used a 4GB Chromebook since the ARCVM update, but I can only imagine it's not great. For a short while I was on the beta stream on my original duet and one of the things they were testing was performance under extra memory pressure - they intentionally used an extra 1 or 1.5GB of memory, and it was bad enough for me to powerwash and go back to stable. I do use Linux frequently so that doesn't help, but even with the VM shut down it was not good.
On my X2 11 with 8GB the experience is actually better than before ARCVM but I do sit at 1.5GB more memory usage than before. I would strongly suggest going for 8GB nowadays.
