  • I have one but maybe my own case it is unstable and always dropped off

    • From memory, they are unstable on a mac. You "can" update the firmware on a pc and it's suppose to help.

Is it good for an always on connection? My PC doesn't have an M. 2 slot and I have a 1tb m. 2 drive lying around collecting dust.
Thought this could be used to externally connect and add 1tb storage to my pc

    • Yep used mine for about 6 months now for a secondary drive, no hiccups of notice have happened so far.

    The ugreen for $2 more.

    • I bought one yesterday. Amazon choice and a brand know.

    • Reviews say heat is an issue as thermal pads don't contact the curved enclosure, orico doesn't have that problem

  • This doesn't support firmware updates for whatever drive is in it right? How much do you have to spend to get one that does?

    • I don't think any do as the SSD needs to be connected to the motherboard to update the firmware.

Can you just plug a SSD into this and use it for storage expansion on a Xbox series x?

    • Yes. Buy 2TB SSD onsale Crucial P5 Plus 2TB PCIe 4.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD

  • Extra $2.80 for the version which also supports SATA. Specs otherwise seem the same, title states USB 3.2 in OP's linked version but body description states USB 3.1 in both. Leaning towards SATA support since I'd be keeping this on hand for data recovery and accessing spare drives.
