This would be 100% upselling the business owner things

    • Alex (co-founder of Sprintlaw) here - just jumping in to clarify this point 😊 Our consultations are not just intended to upsell our services. They are for video or phone calls with qualified lawyers and are intended to help to small businesses answer quick legal questions about e.g. regulations, contract interpretation or other legal-related queries. The minority of these calls lead to the purchase of further services. In addition, our platform includes access to a range of legal software tools (like eSignatures and DIY simple legal documents) and is about to undergo a major upgrade to integrate new features, including business 'legal health' monitoring, contract reminders and some new AI-enabled features.

We're genuinely dedicated to great client experience and building long term customer loyalty. We are very much trying to disrupt an old fashioned, over-complicated profession by making it very easy for small businesses to access and understand affordable legal help via this membership!

  • Do you provide legal advice on car accidents?

    • Hey there! Unfortunately we can only assist with commercial legal services, and aren't able to provide legal advice on personal car accidents or disputes.

However we've found this website with info that might helpful which you're welcome to use as a starting point: https://www.legalaid.nsw.gov.au/my-problem-is-about/my-car-o…

      Hope this helps 😊

  • Isn’t that what ChatGPT is for?

    • Alex (co-founder of Sprintlaw) here - just jumping in to clarify this point (talking about ChatGPT is one of my favourite topics 😊) - it's true that ChatGPT can be a helpful resource for small businesses to seek general legal information. It's not, however, a replacement for a lawyer or for our member platform; many legal documents and tasks require strategic goals and tailoring to context, nuances, and specific legal intricacies - and often require a human touch. ChatGPT also (currently) has accuracy problems particularly when used with Australian legal data and/or when prompted by non-lawyer users, and given that completing legal tasks is often about reducing business risk, these problems can undermine the purpose of seeking legal advice. I have, for example, seen clients use documents generated by ChatGPT which put them in a worse risk position than if they had no agreement at all.

Also - we are working on some very cool new LLM-powered features in our member portal, to be launched early next year, which will combine the power of LLMs with our proprietary data set of small business legal resources. This will be very cool and will be made available to members who sign up to this Black Friday offer.

      • Relax bro I was just fooling around, your job is safe (for now) /s

  • What counts as a consultation?

    • Great question! Our unlimited quick consults are 30-minute video or phone calls with a qualified Sprintlaw lawyer, that allows you to get answers to any quick legal questions you might have about your small business throughout the year – e.g. regulations, contract interpretation or other legal-related queries.

These calls can be easily booked via our Member portal, where you can select the time the best suits you and the right kind of lawyer for your specific needs.

Please note that these calls are intended to answer ad-hoc legal questions and do not include full reviews of documents, emails, or providing legal advice that requires more than 30-minutes of our lawyers time on the call. If this is required, your lawyer may provide a no-obligations fixed-fee quote for this service (with a 10% Member discount applied).

However, as Alex mentioned above, our consultations are not just intended to upsell our services, and are instead designed to make access to affordable legal help easy and simple to understand 😊
