Apple TV MD199X/A $108 with Bonus $20 iTunes Card at Harvey Norman

10

Not as good as the previous offer with the $40 bonus iTunes cards but still pretty decent.

Might make a good accessory for those that managed to get the VSX-521 from Dick Smith. Great way to get your music from your phone (ios and android)to your home theatre system.

  • Just wished it supported local radio and ABC iView. Even just local radio like TuneIn.

    • Yeah, you will have to run the apps on your phone/tablet and then send it to the Apple TV via airplay

        I suppose not as big a deal as more smart TVs have this functionality, but I have a rather old "dumb" plasma.

  • Is this online only??

  • Online and in-store. Could also see whether they would price match the GG and still get the iTunes card http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hoppers_crossing/Apple_Apple_T…

  • Slightly cheaper on the refrub store with free postage… mine was a refurb and looked brand new, but I guess they are less giftable. http://store.apple.com/au/browse/home/specialdeals/ipod/appl…

    • $94 - given the $20 gift card, and the fact that it's brand new, I call Harvey Norman the better deal.

  • Btw, New version of the XBMC has built in AirPlay and UPNP/DLNA, doesn't it?

    • Yes, but you can't jailbreak the ATV3.

    Got Big W to price match JBHIFI $107, then said HN give a $20 itunes card also, sold to me for $107 + Free $20 itunes card.
    Downside = No jailbreak yet…
