Hi all, still new to posting here, thought I'd share this deal. I've been using SoundPeats for a while now and they're pretty good for the price.

Very good affordable headphones compared to the more expensive brands. Their AirPods alternative, the Air3, is currently on sale. Newer version Air4 is out too but more expensive.

Newer version Air4 is out too but more expensive.

Air4 is worth the extra $$$ just for the multi connection feature alone. Being able to watch YouTube/listen to spotify via the computer and then receive a call on my phone and seamlessly switch back without having disconnect either device is a great feature.

    • Yeah I'm considering buying the Air4 just for that reason

    • But reducing in-ear detection for a higher price

I disabled it anyway as it led to my audio pausing on my air3

Bought the Air4 specifically for this reason, but that's literally the only benefit to those over the Air3 Deluxe HS imo.

The "ANC" mode is so ineffective it's almost false advertising, if not for the fact that it's technically doing it, and the battery life with ANC on is abysmal compared to the Air3 Deluxe HS. Standby time on the Air3 is spectacular with intermittent listening, meaning you can wear them all day long waiting for calls and listening to stuff here and there, while the Air4 will deplete itself rather quickly in contrast doing its "ANC" even when you're not listening to anything.

Of course you can turn the ANC off, but the default EQ on the Air4 is atrocious - turning the ANC on changes the EQ and gives it a decent sound, but at the expense of battery life. This weekend I messed around with the custom EQ to mimic the sound of the ANC mode, so the non-ANC mode is now usable, but with no EQ and ANC off the sound is unbearably tinny.

And even with the EQ applied, or ANC on and no custom EQ, the sound is overall inferior to the Air3 Deluxe HS imo.

Edit: also, there is a delay when playing/pausing on the Air4 that was not present on the Air3, which can be frustrating when swapping between the two as I tend to. The Air3 feels much more responsive to use.

Very happy with my SoundPeats 12 months on, after some unsatisfying experiences with Creative and Jabra. A real bang for buck brand.

The battery life of the earphones of this brand is quite short.

Yeah, my right one can only last roughly 1 hour

      • Same! What's the problem with the right one? haha

I mostly use the Lenovo one I bought from Aliexpress for $11, which lasts hours and hours. And I paid $47 for a Soundpeats one. Yes, I regret it!

      • Mine is the left one. When I queried them about it, they said "fast charging" can kill the batteries in them and it was best to use a lower wattage charger.

I don't know what the expectation is (and whether the comparison is to Sony et al or this price bracket), but I've been getting 3-4 hours out of a charge of the buds and I'm happy with that.

  • 6% ? Not much of a bargain is it?

    • They're normally $64.99. $51.99 is the Black Friday price, so it's 6% off BFP, but 25% of full price. Will probably go back to $64.99 after BF

  • How would these rate vs QCY HT07?
Someone just pinched my old QCY T17

didn't mind these for running - they had a weird pairing / disconnect / stuttering about 6 months in - got a fairly quick refund which was good. mabye i just got a dud pair -
battery lasted on pair with Airpod v2

I bought a very similar model to these about 12 months ago and thoroughly enjoyed them, no problems at all. I'd recommend the brand as good bang for buck.
Then left them behind while travelling.
If anyone is looking for a higher quality ANC earbuds, the Soundcore liberty 4NC (not the older liberty 4) is what I went with.

Have been using a pair of air 3 for over a year and still working well, lasted much longer than my previous edifier ones and nice and compact and comfortable.
