been there and done that, opting for something more compact / quicker to use and less bench space. Can have more problems with dual boilers etc as ours did.
beans open/exposed for longer periods, pods at least are sealed up air tight at production.. both have +/- to them

I considered a real machine but stuffing around with beans, grinders, more cleanup, larger and complex machines is what keeps me buying Vertuo pods.
I went backwards and forwards on this but got a Breville Barista Pro a few months back after my Creatista Plus failed after 3 and a bit years. It’s hardly any more work. The machine grinds the beans straight into the portafilter and all you have to do is tamp it. The amount I’ve saved on buying pods will easily make back the cost of the machine too and IMO makes a nicer coffee
I don't like the big pods, taste difference.
Whats the difference between this and a cheaper vertuo machine? They both use the same [expensive] pods right?
I cannot imagine spending this on a pod machine.
Surely for this price you should just buy a real coffee machine?
