$10.50 Cashback on amaysim 80GB (+20GB Bonus for 3 Renewals) 28-Day SIM for $15 @ Cashrewards

190

Decent option if looking to port out from Boost mobile before porting back in.

Amaysim is selling their $40 28-day sim for $15 and comes with 100GB data in the first month. Combine this with Cashrewards offering $10.50
cashback = only $4.50 cost.

It is slightly more expensive that Lebara sims when they’re discounted to $4 at supermarkets, but potentially less issues with Amaysim porting and heaps more data. I also like Amaysim’s e-sim option and the ability to change to 365 pay as you go for $0.00 after the 28 days. Handy for those needing to park a number for a period.

  • 100GB 28-Day Sim $4.50
change to 365 pay as you go for $0.00 after the 28 days

wow so ppl with dual sim phone, it would be just $4.50 for the year to park the main number in esim, and then get boost profit sim each month in nano slot?

    • +3

Or you spend $20 on top to use the $60/year call and text only. Better utility.

    • Possible, but I think most would want some calls/texts/data on their main number perhaps? Depends on individual situation. I personally use it to park a number I like but isn’t my main number.

      • To get the 365 days, I active this and use 100GB for 28 days then when and how do I switch to a 365 plan for $0?

        • +2

If you go to change plan, then ‘as you go’ should be available for $0.00 if you already have an active plan. I generally change it while my 28 days plan is active and the ‘as you go’ won’t start until that expires.

          • @kelea: so $0.00, how long i can keep before i have to pay again to keep my number active and wha't sthe choice?
good idea to changE To 'pay as u go' during the 28 day plan is active, but Is the pay as you go expire as the original 28 days plan expires?

            • @aussiebg: The PAYG is 365 day expiry, after which you will need to recharge $10 to keep the service active for another year (or port that number out to another SIM and re-port in using a discount such as the above).

              • @pennypincher98: Thanks.
so another option is pay $20 on top to get $60 credit to use for 1 year.

                • @aussiebg: Yeah, that needs an existing service afaik though. Could activate on PAYG and use the credit to pay $20 on top? Otherwise the 28 day plan will come out of that credit.

Haven't tried it out though seems to be the case when I was researching about it

                  • @pennypincher98: Have you tried this out? If so, could you confirm if it works? Thanks

                    • @dsesaz: Nah atm Amaysim is giving free calls and text so no need to try out as of yet, will probably try out when that ends.

From what I read on here that's the case though.

          • @kelea: Very clear thank you, I'll give it a go

  • "SIM must be activated within 20 days of purchase" to get cashback.

yeah im afraid doing sim hopping for data every month (ie the boost profit cashback) - as when i miss the cashback for some weird reason it means i will pay the sim at full price, making the whole year effort gone

    • Does this mean the cashback also doesn't get tracked until it's activated or is it just for the approval ?

  • any deals on 365 day plan? was $60 last year (maybe 2gb per month or something like that)

    • im waiting for that too

    • Nothing good on Amaysim- $170 sim down to $130 and only $17.50 cashback on cashrewards. I haven’t looked much at 12 months though so good luck with the search if that’s your target.

  • is this still valid?

    • Looks like it:

      Cashrewards:

      $40 Mobile Plan with 80GB
      $10.50

      Amaysim:

      80GB/$40
      100GB $15 $40 RRP

  • When I ordered 2x amaysim SIMs last year, they arrived already activated and hence I lost ~10 days of service. Is it still the case they activate when ordered? Any tricks to avoid it?

    • +3

When you order it's best to say you're porting even if you aren't. This avoids the sim coming already activated.

In my limited experience, they usually automatically detect when you start using and restart the timer from them. If not automatic, just send them a message and they’d do it I’m sure. I usually port in so don’t haven’t dealt with this much.

Otherwise, what WatchNerd says also works. When buying, they will ask for the phone number you’re porting in. No verification then. When you activate, just select that you want a number number.
