  • Looks like it’s the 3 not the 3C as per title.

    $1358.59 @ amazon
    https://amzn.asia/d/2HtZDgS

    • +3

$1316 in total some $40 discount only shows on final step

      • Damn where were you two this morning!
Oh we’ll warranty at bunnings might be easier if i have issues

        • +1

Amazon also easy once you have fault they take responsibility i had issue twice with other electronic things they take it back and replace easily

          • @hurr1cane: This item isn't sold by Amazon so buyers may have a different experience here.

            • @lint: Yeah I cancel buy and went to bunning for further down price match and success

    • That was not sold by Amazon.

  • Is this one of the best home security packs for the price?

Building next year, going to need something like this.

    • +2

      Wireless, no cloud, yes

    • +1

Better plan wired cable or Cat6 for POE systems for new build.

      • Thank you.

I mean at least wireless, you can uninstall and take when you sell! Haha

        • The only good reason to install wireless cameras is where wired cameras are not practical to install. This is particularly true for renters, or those who have no access to ceiling spaces.

Every business that installs security cameras does a wired installation - they're more reliable, more secure, and generally have better features. Because constant power and data connection is available, the cameras do not need to wake from sleep states to do their job, and can easily remain recording 24/7, even during power outages with the addition of a cheap UPS battery. Also wired cameras are not subject to wireless interference, congestion or jamming.

If you're doing a new build, you should absolutely plan for wired cameras - the extra cost to run ethernet cables is trivial and you have amazing freedom to put camera wherever you like. A wired camera kit with NVR similar to this Eufy deal in quality and features is less than half the price: https://m.reolink.com/product/rlk8-820d4-a/

Plus a hard-wired kit adds real resale value to your home, if that's a consideration.

          • @klaw81: Thanks for the info.

I have narrow home, 8.5m wide.

I probably only need front, rear and possibly a side? I'm not sure if I put one inside, like my hallway or something.

            Appreciate the link too.

            • @[Deactivated]: Typically you would put two on the front, with overlapping views so they can see down the street in each direction. Then one down the side, and one at the back.

  • Already posted here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/815007

And cheaper via their eBay store with coupons (although this won't be eligible for price beat).

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122749068033 (1349 delivered)

    • Bunnings makes it the same price, pickup, easy warranty etc

    • I went to bunnings and all refused to price match, and price beat, can you share a recipt?

  • +2

I just Used Amazon price to get a price beat at Bunnings. https://ibb.co/8gTyXN5
    $1185

    • Well done! I'm surprised they price beat the amazon listing. Going to use your receipt tomorrow to see if my bunnings can match it

      • I just tried one and they don't.

        • I got it from Bunnings rydalmere.

        • That's unfortunate. Did you try to price match edw0000000's receipt or price beat the amazon listing?

        • +2

Nevermind. Try another Bunnings and it works. LOL.

    • I'm assuming these are discounted gcs, where did you get them?

      • Not discounted, I just have too much flybuys points from my flybuys accounts.

Customer support price matched to 1219.23 but the store gave another 10% on top of that and got it for 1097.31. Had to wait about 15mins to sort out the whole thing 😂😂😂

    • which link did you show them for price match?
      And which bunnings store?

      • +1

I sent the amazon link to the customer support then they emailed me price matched value in email. Got it from Marsden Park NSW

        • +1

Nice. I emailed them immediately after OP's post but never got a response. I went to several Bunnings but all said they don't price match other stores. Hope it drops this low for xmas sales.

    • Wow, that is even better.

    • Oh man - I didnt see this. I got it for 1214. Lucky you

    • Lol, great deal. Btw How do you msg the customer support? Email them? Thanks

      • I used the live chat

        • On the website or the apps? PowerPass?

  • Thanks, bunnings customer service price beat. Went to store and showed msg from bunnings with price beat price. store assistant made 5 calls and multiple visits to competitor site. They even said, its lot of price variance. After 30 minutes finally price beat to 1214.

  • Any suggestions to plug in the hard drive to expand storage hdd or ssd . Eufy suggests 2.5 inch hard drive. Can this be plug as external additional drive. Thanks.

  • on the hunt for a 4 camera system, was looking at 2C can you guys let me know if its worth paying double to get the 3c ?

  • Are the bases worth much to resell? Anyone had any luck? I just want the cameras.

  • The price dropped to $1,349 for today only. Been tracking this set for a while and this is the cheapest advertised price for Australian stock afaik.

Did a 10% price beat a Bunnings to get it down to $1214. Some others got lucky and got it cheaper as per the above.

    • Dropped where? Bunnings still shows $1598

        • Can Bunnings price beat products sold on Amazon or this Device Deal website? Can you please PM me a receipt buddy? Thanks.

          • @hohoisme: They were hesitant at first but eventually price matched (beat) devicedeal

            • @igoforthebest: Thanks mate. Just want to confirm it is allowed in the policy so I can have something to argue back if they refuse.

Also because I am in QLD but the Device Deal is in VIC, is it still possible for price beat?

              • +1

@hohoisme: They were arguing it has to be a brick and mortar store in the same state and online sales are not allowed etc. I asked them to show me where its written in the conditions given that on bunnings website it states that the price match includes delivery and GST. So after a bit of hesitation they reluctantly approved the request

                • @igoforthebest: Good job mate they are just on the power trip!

Do you know it is possible to match Amazon?

                • @igoforthebest: I messaged them and they replied me saying that they couldn't price beat Amazon because the item is sold by an individual seller. But nowhere in the price policy on the website says "Bunnings does not match individual seller's price".

1179 after using HGTNOV promo code here (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/266041715050?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…) and possibly less when buying Exchange Gift Card credits at 6% off then buying ebay gift card with the credits.
Sorry this is my very first comment here in OzBargain
