Obviously well off the historically low prices for these things, but considering how much more expensive UniFi stuff has become in recent times, this is as good as you’re gonna get if you really want / need one.

I have one and I have to say, it is an incredible piece of kit. Well worth it.
Been holding out since I thought the $500 deals were too expensive. I don't want to run protect and happy to run network in a docker. I like rack mount and the extra 8 ports to go with the switch i already have though. But then the new UXG Lite or the yet unannounced properly Unifi Dream Router Ultra both look good as well.
Holding out for UXG Lite (to replace an aging USG). Happy to keen running controller with docker. No need for the NVR features.
If you don’t need a managed switch then the UXG Lite and a basic Netgear or something Switch could be a nice economical alternative to the UDM. Can need go a non-Ubiquiti switch with PoE if you needed for less $$$ which while unmanaged, may be more versatile than the non PoE ports of the Dream Machine Pro.
Already got the unifi 24 Poe and ap's running. Just running an older router for a while.
In which case the new Lite looks good.
I have the USG too but also a Cloud Key Gen2 so one day would like a UDM Pro so I can merge the routing and Protect into one. Cloud Key Gen2 is a tad limited by the use of 2.5” drives which gets a bit limiting now I’m at 8 cameras. If I didn’t want Protect, I’d be all over the UXG Lite.
Would wait for AU inflated prices to come down but. It’s like $130USD but current places taking orders have if for $300+ AUD. Same thing has happened with APs etc though at launch.
@Smigit: Yeah I run non unifi cameras so don't need protect at all. Although would consider a doorbell

UDM Pro is old tech. does not have Gigabit ports! Waiting for new gen.
