Looks like a great alternative to Nanopresso. Heavier but cheaper and >>perhaps<< less messy. Here's a review. Here's a product page from the manufacturer. I now wonder which version we get in here.

From the webs, the basket is 51cm internal diameter and it's non-pressurised meaning it's best for freshly ground beans.

Also noting it doesn't include the tripod stand visible in the photos, which is marked in the listing.

The linked review is for the Leverpresso Pro, which is a completely different unit, with a lot more metal parts, etc. It's a vastly improved version, so review would not really be that relevant.

The original Leverpresso had a lot of reports of plastic internal parts breaking. No idea if the v3 has fixed those faults (or what version of the original Leverpresso that AB is selling).

Would be good if rep can confirm which version is being sold here!

      • True, good you pointed it out. Still the non-Pro seems to be $90+ elsewhere.

          Hi All,

This is the the LeverPresso V3.0 (Non-Pro edition)

          Hope this helps!

  • Cool! Wish I had a use for it.

  • +3

I found this hard to use without the stand.
I also found it didn't live up to the double shot claims, being both a light on grind capacity and water.
It was also a bit of a palaver to warm it adequately before use, and it takes a fair bit of fiddling around to make a second cup.

So, if you like small single shot, are making it just for yourself, are unrushed and can get by without the stand, it makes a good shot.

But it is in my cupboard unused at the moment.

    • Looking at the pictures, it looks almost i unuseable without the stand (which is not available on the website). Anyone had success without the stand? How?

You can pull the shot into the attached cup. Not ideal, if you wanted to see the flow rate and weigh your output, etc - but should definitely be useable.

  • Bought one, hope it works well on my camping trip.

  • How does it compare to the aeropress?

    • +1

Apples and oranges. The aeropress is a combination of an immersionand percolation brewer. This is a lever style espresso machine. It forces water out at higher pressure.

  • I have a ROK lever machine, cool (not so little) unit

It’s hard to beat the Picopresso for portable. Albeit not in this price range.
