    9th Gen is likely the best iPad for a long while now. The 10th gen gained a usb c port, but besides that it also gained $100. in terms of tablets, these are by far the best value to get.

    For long term usage, an m1 based ipad (pro or air?) will last longer, but at what cost? talking about over $1,000

    price didnt drop because high schools still recommend this device as bare minimum "bring your own device"
