Reduced from $29.49 for Prime members, these are great sterile trauma and haemorrhage control bandages to have in your First Aid Kit. Shipped and Sold by Amazon AU, these (going by the image posted in a review and PerSys listed as the manufacturer) look to be genuine Israeli bandages which typically retail at $20-30. At $5.49, I don't think you can get much better than this.

The Israeli Bandages are renowned for their versatility and efficacy in trauma and haemorrhage control, making them a staple in emergency medical kits for military and first responders around the world, but they also have utility for civilian kits like when hunting or operating machinery such as chainsaws, etc. They're ideal for a range of injuries, from minor to severe, including:

  • Lacerations and Deep Cuts: Excellent for controlling bleeding from sharp object injuries.
  • Gunshot and Puncture Wounds: Vital for emergency response in critical situations.
  • Post-Surgical Care: Useful for covering and protecting surgical sites if excessive bleeding occurs.
  • Trauma Injuries: Ideal for accidents or falls that result in significant bleeding.
  • Abrasions and Animal Bites: Offers protection and helps prevent infection.

Also known as an Emergency bandage according to google search

Should be sent to Palestine as they need it more than anyone.

    • -1

Nah capitalism. Why send when you can sell to ozbargainers for $5.49

      • Alright, I'll be the first to bite… They would probably boycott it because it has the word Israel in the name. But seriously, you guys are right, they deserve all the medical supplies they can get. It would be pretty cool if we were able to organise an aid shipment for them and it would actually be let in properly.

        • +2

I'll be second - Anything sent to Gaza gets stolen by Hamas and never makes it to the people who really need it.

The one reviewer buys a lot of bandages…

        and from the same brand..

      • Good catch, could be astroturfing for Aero Healthcare. Either way, easy returns with Amazon if it is not a genuine product.

        • also your two posts today could raise some alarm bells…

          • +1

@shap08: Better not raise any alarm bells, I guess I should just go deaf and bleed to death lol

    • Should be sent to Palestine

Should be sent to Biden because he used all his napkins.

The European Union reinforced on Monday (18 January) its position that products made in Israeli settlements must be clearly labelled in Europe, despite growing tensions with Israel over the issue, but stressed that the bloc opposes any boycott of the Jewish state.
Ministers reiterated the EU’s position that the lands Israel has occupied since the 1967 Middle East war – including the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights – are not part of the internationally recognised borders of Israel.

      So where is the label?

Glad to support a good cause even if it’s not made by Israel.

    from $29.49 to $5.49, wow that's not just a discount, it's a price massacre!

    • +1

      And represents a massacre too

  • +2

Haven't used this specific one, but these are so great! Recommend a few in the car and a few at home. The military ones come equipped with quick clot which makes them even better but these are still great.

  • -1

$20 delivery even with prime .?

    • The deal expired once they were sold out, the price now is from a third party seller.

  • +5

    Is this a joke?

  • +1

I've purchased these before from Amazon, they're genuine. I think I paid about $9 each for mine though. Anyone who knows anything about first aid should have at least a few of these in their kit.
Everyone else can rely on an Ambulance to actually arrive in time if they're not too busy hospital ramping.

  • There's a few key words in this post that feel almost intentionally incendiary

    • +3

Not intentional. I used ChatGPT to generate the bulk of the post after feeding it the product specs from the manufacturer and then made some adjustments since it had parts talking about combat wounds which are highly unlikely for civilians in Australia to encounter.

It'd probably be worded the same with or without the geopolitical situation in the ME.

      • -1

I think it's the 'civilian' part.

  • That's because its white not grey.
