I was hunting for a micro SD for my incoming RG35XX and stumbled on this. Marginally better random read/write than the equivalent Samsung EVO Plus, from what I’ve read, for less than the Samsung’s $22 BF pricing. In the end I decided to reuse a 64GB card I was using with a drone, for stills, but this might be of interest to others.

    It's not like PNY isn't known.

    Samsung is roghly 50 years older; 1930s vs 1980's; but PNY are still absolutely massive and mainstream.

    PNY=Palit=Gainward are also known brand names just not as big as Samsung (as a common household name).

    If anything they make heaps of graphics cards which Samsung doesn't. So it's not like an AliExpress 'no name's brand.

    All microsd's use bottom of the barrel rubbish chips, doesn't make a difference. PNY's an american brand that's been around for awhile, samsung's reputation isn't so hot in recent times.
