    What does it do?

      It gives you the colour name (and numeric value for it, useful in computer graphics) of an object you point the camera to.

      Seems useless, as there's always white balance issue with cameras, so that colour is as accurate as a person saying it's a generic eg. "green".

      edit: maybe not that useless, by this comment, but surely not accurate and not suitable for any serious calibration

    If you paint on iPad this is a decent app for managing your digital palettes and selecting colours from life.
    But if like me you do design/art on desktop, you probably already have a better solution for organizing your swatches.

    How is this getting so many upvotes? Who ever paid money for it?

    How is it AR? It just uses camera, it doesn't add anything to the picture. That way you can say any photo-taking or video-recording app is AR (which they aren't).

    It will never be accurate or consistent unless you're carrying a white reference sheet.
