With the extra 15% off on Black Friday, the 256gb s23 could be bought for just over $800 via the education store (and using the app). Probably a similar price now
256 GB with $150 trade-in is about $970 with app (excluding value of phone). Nowhere near as good as BF sale.

On the verge of getting one of the s9 tabs or iPad Pro 6th Gen. Any pointers?
A bit of context: I’m currently using iPhone, AirPods and a MacBook Pro from 2012 so I’d say I’m not that deep behind the Apple wall.
I'd go with the iPad due to the extended software support and greater performance. Apple also has much better support available than Samsung.
I have both ipad and tab s9.

iPad will likely last much longer software wise. I have a 2018 iPad pro and it feels just as fast as M1 iPad pro and has the latest software. An adroid tablet from 2018 will likely be much worse

The discount should apply automatically to your first transaction on the app. You need to be at the checkout screen to see the discounted price.
Got the S8 Ultra for $999 at Jb Hifi last week with 15% GC. This S9 Ultra is tempting.

Nope. No main difference apart from a faster processing chipset. If you are just watching stuff then you wont see a difference.

Getting an error on Samsung app shop when trying to place order with card and PayPal.
3 attempts with support they gave me a 10% code for their reg store but won't give me a code for their edu store… what a joke of an app and shop, heard terrible things about cancellation & warranty too so maybe it's good that it isn't working lol

Hopefully everyone has had better luck that I did. Ordered a 256GB S9 and got sent a base model S9 FE and now have to argue with support to get the item I ordered. I don't even understand how this happens given the order has the serial number on it which doesn't match what I was sent.
When I log into the app using my govt email address I get prices without the discounts hown here. Has anyone had any success getting these prices and adding the first app purchase 10% off as well?
I asked in chat on the app and they told me the 10% app first purchase discount doesn't stack with education/govt pricing.
Within in the app, you need to change it too the EPP store in the 'More' settings.
Ah okay, so it works for education store but not government portal. Shame.

If you are an alumni and still have access to your student email it should work perfectly for these deals.
