Standard OzBargain Comments You Always See

I’ve noticed you can 100% predict the comments based on the posts. Are OzBargainers loving the same comments over and over again or are these all new people thinking they are the only/first people to make these comments? What are some other cookie cutter comments that always appear?

  1. Condom deal: Thanks this is a lifetime supply
  2. Ice cream deal: It’s a scam. This should be normal price
  3. iPhone: Since when is a phone $2000?!
  4. Any high price item eg over $50k : Thanks OP bought 10.
  5. Asking for advice on buying car: Reference to old thread about the Westpac investment banker buying “high yield” AMG

      • I don't care!

      • you got it wong shut up and take my comments

  • OP asks "hey OzB community, there's this [job/law/price/deal/regulation,etc.] that I don't like, don't you guys think it's trying to exploit us"
Reply "if you don't like it (find another and) move one. everything doesn't need to suit your preferences"
Another uncommon one "this has always been like this; everyone else seems to accept but you"

  • +2

Whats even more predicatble is how boring answers are. Nobody tries to think differently.

    • +1

I knew you were going to say that.
Your second observation rarely applies to critical thinkers (LOL) like me

      • Oh yes the famous critical thnkers whose answers are always name calling or you are wrong because they say they are right.

        • The term 'critical thinker' has as much relevance these days as 'sustainable', 'clean & green' 'world peace' and 'not a racist but'.

          • @Protractor: Very strange response….

I fail to see how world peace or any peace is irrelevant. It may not be always be possible but it is very much important and relevant to everyone.

Your statement is very srtangr im not sure if its meant to be taken serious or what.

            • @CowFrogHorse: Oh you cute thing. You think world peace is possible.

Read and comprehend what I wrote properly. I said the TERM

srtangr (that's a weird word you invented there???)

              • @Protractor: Yes you said the term… something something.. wtf does that even mean ?

Your sentence is hardly complete, if i was to ask 10 peopl ethey would all give very different answers.

                srtangr = strange

    • I missed the part where that's my problem.

  • "price in title" :-D

  • +3

"Fml I paid 499.67 for it 2 months ago as it was an atl. If I knew it would drop more I would have saved 5 cents. Argh. The agony….. Can I get a refund?"

A [insert specific trade here] came out to repair [insert issue here] at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon and charged me [insert reasonable amount here] for 20 minutes work. How do I get out of paying this scammer?

    • Its amazing how basically nobody has the grasp that travel is also work. I mean if they had to travel 2 hours to visit your house, that also counts as time taken. Problem is these same people dont realise that karma get them back. Their bosses dont pay them for the hours every day they waste travelling to work. Over a lifetime of commuting thats thousands of hours they sit in a car, or watch crap on a phone in a train…

      Karma.

People are dumb and dont understand the concept of valuing time, their own and others.

Any post from tenants asking for advice regarding their rights or landlord responsibilities get bashed by the poor, $10mil property portfolio owning, $200k annual tax refund, overlords who then claim they are doing renters a favour and should have no rights.

Any post from normal people asking if a a tradie should charge $3k for changing a tap washer get bashed by tradies as they need to buy their 6 berth off road caravan, Dodge Ram, boat and jetski somehow

Any post from anyone who got ripped off or scammed in any way, treated as if it was their fault and they should know better
