  • Bunnings same price

  • Are these as good as the eneloops?

No some of Energizer I bought died within 5 years but none of Eneloops died so far

same experience. Eneloops and the IKEA branded ones just last and last. Energizer don't hold charge well and already had a few leaked.

I've only had one IKEA battery fail on me. It's capacity was awful. IKEA gave me a refund, good luck getting that from Energizer.

        • I didn't even know rechargeables batteries could leak. I guess I've been spoiled by Eneloops.

I have 2000mah eneloops from 2012. Capacity test shows over 1900mah after 11 years.

For what it’s worth, I bought these a week ago for the same price and they say ‘Made in Japan’. So likely come out of the same factory as the Eneloops.

      • Can confirm that there’s only one battery factory in Japan. One really, really big one

          Gotta a link. I'm interested :)

  • Whats the best way to charge an enloop battery?

    • That question has a long and technical answer.
Some say low and slow, others claim this can harm the battery.

My charger wants to charge at 375 (for three or four) or 750 for two batteries. My other charger does 500ma only. The best advice I can give is charge AAAs at a lower rate because they get hot fast and don't take long to charge slow.

Quick charger is fine. Just put a fan on em. Cooling is the key.

    • IKEA LADDA Charger works pretty well. you can get a few LADDA battery along the way.

    • There was a German webpage that rates them I can't remember what it was. But the more expensive Envelop fast charger is better than the cheaper Envelop slow charger according to their testing.

  • People wringing they only last 5 years ? Ok

Do not buy energizers, they are cheap but they don't hold charge,
I have a few and I keep it fully charged and when I am about use they have only minimal charge,
Bought IKEA laada for the 15% off sale last week , they were similar price like these.
I have got few IKEA laada that I have been using for about 2 years and they still hold charge if you charge and leave them in storage.
    So slowly phasing out energizers.
So for all you think about why you need so many rechargable batteries, all the batteries at my home are re chargeable , kids have a lot of toys and we use rechargeables in them too

    • Are your Energizers made in Japan?

Picked up last 2 at Bunnings this morning Made in Japan 2300mAh

  • You could also spend a bit more and get an 8-pack of the Eneloop Pro with 2550 mAh @ $4.75 a battery: https://www.amazon.com.au/Panasonic-Rechargeable-Batteries-B…
