Seems to be a good price for the 7800xt. Unfortunately not much of an improvement from the 6800xt but you'll have access to special AMD driver features before the 6000 series it seems.

There's also some sub $500 4060 deals and other GPU deals on Amazon so keep an eye out might be something else you're after.

  • Not sure if this would include Avatar in the current promo? If not then local stock is probably a better option.

Hopefully we'll see the price drop below $800 in the near future, it realistically should sit close to $200 less then the 4070 considering previous AMD pricing.

      • hopefully this doesn't happen through the 4070/super going up in price…

    • XFX cooler and pcb is definitely one of the best on the market so it's easily worth imo

    • Take a valium or three, mate

        • So we're AMD acolytes now are we? Pull up your pants and be angry at the price!

          • @Jimmy77: I'm not an acolyte, I just take it how I see it.
Were you even alive for the last generation? Everything that came out was sold out or had a drastic price raise.
The 7800 may not be worth it in comparison to the earlier models, but it did come out very recently with a price that forced Nvidia to regroup with their re-releases.
So, to see this card drop to less than the RRP by about 15% as well as forcing Nvidia to re-do everything, I'd say AMD did one hell of a job overall.
