This would appear to be a massively overpriced torch. A Sofirn headtorch can be bought for a fraction of the cost and appears to be better quality.

    • Hard agree. ~$150 for 500 lumens is not great.

    • Can confirm, I've been using the Sofirn HS40 and recently picked up the HS41 from AliExpress during 11.11 sale.

Quality would be vastly different, I got the Sofirn in a recent deal, and while it seems like a decent light the headband is trash and being very front-heavy the thing would probably wobble around if you were moving quickly.

The Ledlensor would be much higher quality and actually have local support (7 year warranty), the battery pack is mag charge, the lens is focusable.

If you're a heavy user and want something that'll last the Ledlensor would be a no-brainer, the Sofirn is perfectly fine for the majority of us who just want to attach a light to our head every now and then. It's like buying Darche and Oztent camping kit instead of Kings and XTM, the cheaper stuff is mostly fine, but the pricier stuff is usually nicer and will last longer.

  • Got a 350 lumen one from ebay for the price of the shipping of the one in the OP and it that included the shipping :D

It's not as bright and probably isn't waterproof, but it's bloody bright and blinds me if I accidentally look at it while it's on

  • You can get an olight array 2 pro for less.

I dare you to find a worse deal….

LEDlenser make fantastic torches - I've been using my headlamp for well over 10yrs now. It's daft to just look at the raw lumen output to judge quality.

This also seems to be a genuine deal as well - $201 from official store, $180 from BCF

    • Agree that they do make good torches. For same brand and model it is a good price but a quick google search shows some other shops that have cheaper but I just say I am not familiar with those shops to comment on them.

For the same price I got the Acebeam H30 with USB-C, removable 21700 cell, extra red/green led and a massive max 4000 lumens white led. Hard pass for an overpriced product with no special feature and a proprietary charger.

  • 500 lumens is dark…

Probably a bit harsh to judge an Australian backed product with warranty against an import. Fair deal for a Led Lenser.

Giggear I hadn't heard of your company so just looked them up. I can see it is run by a family discretionary trust which isn't registered for GST. Do you charge GST on your products? Just asking because my accountant goes nuts when I try to tax deduct items without GST bought from market stalls and similar.

Thanks Naigrazbo, didn't think to look up flipsters.net or giggear, just looked up specialised torches and their trust. I actually thought giggear was just a nickname here. You did super well to find that, didn't see that name on their website at all
