ASOMETECH 100W GaN Charger + 100W USB C Cable US$14.18 (~A$21.16) Delivered @ Factory Direct Collected Store AliExpress

100

I'm feeling a bit reckless today, usually I don't buy no name chargers or unreviewed chargers. Perhaps someone who has one could chime in

Mainly buying it for an upcoming trip, not too sure how comfortable I would be leaving this plugged.

I'm mostly drawn by the neat looking display showing the power output, seems pretty compact too.

It might be cheaper if you pay in USD, listed price is aliexpress aud conversion

EDIT: I forgot to mention it also comes with a 100w usb c cable

Would insurance pay if this causes a fire? Asking for a friend

  • Ordered one last time never came

I think chocie items are supposed to be sold and shipped by aliexpress themselves, it might be less of an issue.

I bought a few choice items during black friday, all arrived in about 10 days and required auspost signature

use a free parcel locker from AusPost, no need for signatures and you get notifications when it arrives.

  • I will marry Dali, Yak will be pratsyuvati.

  • Based on the location and orientation of the plug, it looks like the display would be upside down when plugged into the wall

Plug it in at ground level so you have to bend over to see it, problem solved.

    • Use a power board to make it upright, problem solved. :)
also increases the risk of fire by ___% depending on whether the power board was a sketchy one

      • Lol.

      • I have the oddest suspiscion that this would be very loose in the socket like most of the half-assed reused CN plugs.

        • also no insulation layer on pins right.

          • @harshbdmmaster718: Nah, they actually do have insulation based on the photos, it's just that they're managed to still screw up and make it in the upside-down CN style, hence my suspicion that the pin pitch is too small too.

There's no American adapter either, those are just the default outlet and you shove the adapter in on top of them to make contact… Weird.

  • Just ordered one few minutes ago, went back to look at specs again and looks like they put the price up just now.

Edit: Maybe not, but looks like to get lower price we need to go through op's link.

  • I admit it looks cool I will give it that much.

what's that blue display? it's showing you a live graph of power output?

It should just be the current power draw of the devices connected

If it is a rebrand of this it would be heaps good

That and this is probably the best form factor I've come across so far, it's hard to come by compact AU plug chargers.

Might as well buy two to get free shipping lol
