I'm looking for a balance bike for my 3 YO daughter - a MUST for her is that is is yellow. The little Nation and Zoomy are out of stock in yellow and I really want to stay under $100 (Oh, and no second hand available in my area just in case anyone wants to point out she will outgrow it quick and it's better to buy used).

At 3.8kg it is a little heavier than some others, but kids are never lifting the whole weight of the bike, just standing it up.

Little Nation said Yellow should be back in stock by Dec 15th or 17th, but that may be cutting a little close to have it delivered in time.

  get a strider or similar ultralight balance bike, much easier to carry around for both you and the child

    Strider is well over my $100 budget and only 800g heavier - doesn't worry me at all.

  Kids don't use these for long, so I would recommend spending far far less - $36 (this one's even yellow).

  I bought one of these cheapie ebay ones for my son and he loved it - rode it to death in 12 months, then on to a proper bike.

  Edit: these are light - and that does matter. They're way more manageable for little kids
