  would this allow 5120x1440 @ 60hz over hdmi?

    3840x2160 = ~8.3MP, supported at 30Hz
    5120*1440 = ~7.4MP

    The pixel buffer size is similar, so unless they state otherwise you should presume it isn't supported.

    Not a chance, it maxes out at 3840x2160 @ 30Hz.

    I like UGREEN products but this is not a good deal IMO.

    Probably depends more on the host software than the dock. Get yourself a USB stick with iPXE flashed onto it, and never look back.

  These kind of docks have a very short life. We got different brands at work and had to replace them with proper docks one by one as they kept failing after a while.

      Not with this brand in specific but we have tried different brands and at the end we gave up. They stop working for no reason and sometimes the USB shows an error in device manager for no reason too
