    • As per OP:
Valid for a maximum value of $1,000 per customer…?

      • I saw that in the OP.

It let me through with $1200.

    1. Paid on Apple Pay, got confirmation and gift cards
    2. Other account paid credit card, got confirmation and no gift card yet
    • Interesting, based on my experience and other comments, people who used Apple Pay didn’t get their GC.

    • I got the other gift cards today

    TOTAL SCAM

    Paid on Apple Pay

Thank you for your recent order with card.gift. We’re emailing to inform you that we are unable to fulfill this order, and your credit card has not been charged. We take security very seriously, and a major part of that is ensuring that orders are placed by the legitimate cardholder. This keeps our customers, other credit card holders and card.gift safe. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify this purchase, and it was declined out of caution. This is not a reflection on you as a shopper, and we apologise for the inconvenience. We understand that you have a number of options when making a purchase, and we’re sorry for this frustration. We invite you to revisit card.gift and place your order again using details – such as phone number, email and billing address – that match the cardholder’s information. We will then re-evaluate it for fulfillment. Thanks for shopping at card.gift. .

    • So, just for clarity. I used all my standard details. Standard phone, standard email, standard address, and standard credit card that I use daily. So why was this declined?

I can't see any reason for cancelling this other than to get out of having to honour the deal, which of course has now expired!

Got done too, exactly the same. Westpac initially rejected the purchase, but I unblocked the card, went through checkout.. “canceled” order. I’ve asked for an explanation but not holding my breath on it.

Similar thing happened with me. They say that the card has not been charged even though it has been. I asked for a refund and they first say that the card has not been charged and then they say that the admin team may need to look into it. Sounds like a complete scam. I'm now going to start a charge back process.
It's quite unfortunate that the mods didn't take this deal down even though it was reported. And quite conveniently, the deal is now "expired"

trick is (if you can even call it that) was to call them and do the verification so it wouldn't get cancelled. There automated system is almost as bad as Sony Australia where it will automatically cancel orders.

Some people got it no issues and most will have issues with cancellations etc.

          Overall not a great place.

      • But hey, they do invite you to revisit and place your order again…..at the undiscounted price of course. I'm sure it will go through just fine.

Order cancelled too after 22 hours!

Same here, paid with ApplePay, same BS canned reply. The trustpilot review checks out.

    • +2

Paid by Paypal and after 24 hours received the same crap reply about being unable to fulfill order.

This whole process had been a big FU. Future deal postings for these idiots should be banned.

      • I think their business model is banking on the fact that the majority of people who have had their orders cancelled will not check to see if they have got their refund. They will tell you that your card has "not been charged" which is an absolute lie.

  • Hey TA did you negotiate the deal with card.gift? Its unfortunate that so many of our members have had issues with it their order.

  • Cancelled…26 hours later

  • Just as a FYI - I was one of the lucky ones that got their gift card. Ordered Tuesday afternoon, came through early this morning. I had also followed up via email yesterday and got the cookie-cutter response that others have been sharing here. Good luck to everyone else in gift card limbo!
