Depends what you want to watch, adult drama and scifi you can't do better than atv+. If you haven't watched Silo, Murderbot, Slow Horses, Shrinking, Severance, Dark Matter, Foundation (so long as you don't care about the books) and Ted Lasso you're missing out.

3 months for $12 is great. It's not worth keeping subscribed 12 months of the year but it's good for quite times and some quality shows.

Silo is bloody dreadful, seen Foundation and it was Meh! definitely not up to the books. Dark Matter interests me as does Murderbot but not enough to get atv+/ definitely a service to binge for a month every now and then.

definitely a service to binge for a month every now and then.

Is there a single service that doesn't meet this definition?
For my tastes and usage, they're all like this. A couple of shows I'm interested in and the rest is meh. Binge those shows and then cancel.

          • @ESEMCE: prime as it is part of your delivery service anyway (if it wasn't for that it would be the same). Netflix used to be worth keeping, but yeah that has deteriorated in the last few years with the bastardry of disney and others pulling content.

To each their own, but I have quite enjoyed Silo thus far.

@heef: Yeah Silo is amazing, patiently awaiting the next season

    • so I have to buy a TV to get this pricing?

I have a sub via an Indian Apple ID (very easy to create) which I fund annually with Apple gift cards from amazon India. Works out at $18 or so a year.

No VPN or any other shenanigans required.

Huh, I use Norton India site to get their anti virus software. About 20% of an equivalent Australian subscription.

        You're still being ripped off.

  • what are the best shows to watch exclusively on apple TV+? I just signed up :)

      Slow Horses is great

      Ted Lasso

“Best” is very subjective because it depends on your taste, but I’d suggest starting with the S shows (all different genres):

      Severance
      Shrinking
      Silo
      Slow Horses

Greyhound and Tetris are a couple of the good movies that I wouldn’t mind watching again.

For All Mankind, Ted Lasso, Severance, Silo, Mythic Quest, Shrinking, Sugar, Bad Sisters, Loot, Master of the air, Blackbird, Slow Horses

    • thank you legends

    • Ted Lasso and ‘your friends and neighbours’ are top notch!

  • Long way home, only thing I use it for

This still worked for me to get 3 months free as of yesterday. No apple card required but your apple account has to be in US store.

  • What’s the ‘returning customers’ qualifier? Had to have lapsed your subscription at least one or two months prior to be eligible?

  • Is it only to be used on LG tvs or can I use it on my Apple TV device connected to other tvs in the house?

    • Not 100% sure but it may be possible if your Apple TV device and Apple TV+ app on your LG TV are signed into the same Apple account (ie with same Apple ID). You presumably will have to activate the offer through the Streaming Week app on the LG TV though.

I have two different Apple accounts (partly to take advantage of such discounted offers by increasing my chances of eligibility) so have not tested it.
