  • 120,000 bonus points when you spend $3,000 on everyday purchases in the first 60 days (credited to your points balance within three months of meeting the spend criteria) and 40,000 bonus points after 12 months (credited to your points balance within the 13th month).

So Only $150 fee for NAB 120000pts in first year

From my reading of the terms and conditions, this offer is for both new and existing customers. Anybody else reading the same?

    • +1

This bonus points offer is not available to existing customers who have received or are entitled to receive NAB Rewards Bonus Points for a new personal NAB Rewards credit card or NAB Home Loan in the 18 months prior to the opening of a NAB Rewards Signature Card or NAB Rewards Platinum Card.

      • Thanks, dunno how I missed that.

      • Damn, I'm on 17 months.

        • I always wonder from when exactly the counter start. Is it from when you open or close your CC?

          • +3

@foxes28: Gotta be close date, as you've still "held" the account until then. Mine was closed July 22.

            • @gadgetguy: Makes sense. Well hopefully the offer is still available next month so you can apply again :)

      • So does this mean it's similar to the ANZ cards where the reward point cards don't overlap with the frequent flyer points ones in terms of bonus exclusion?

        • +2

I'm not sure about ANZ but I think this means if you have/had the NAB Qantas Signature/Platinum, you are still eligible for this offer. I've tested this myself - I had both the NAB Qantas and NAB Rewards overlapping and was still able to claim bonus from both promos.

Redemptions are 2:1 on Velocity and 3:1 on Krisflyer for those interested.

So 60,000 VFF points or 40,000 KF.

What is 120k points worth in terms of gift cards?

    • +6

      About $600

    • +1

Also converts to $600 in flybuys dollars!

If you do want flybuys $, I recommend turning on auto sweep, that way you get all the points converted rather than their 3000 at a time system.

Also keep an eye out that they haven't turned on auto convert to velocity points, sneeky buggers!

  • +3

Same number of points as this if you cash them before they auto convert to velocity and plan on cancelling it in the first year? Lower spend and yearly fee.

Yeah I personally have claimed that offer and it's a better option than this ($1,000 min. spend and $95 AF). You don't even need to cancel the auto-transfer if you don't give them your Velocity number to begin with. They didn't ask for it during application and only sent you a reminder after you receive your CC.

    • +1

Yeah this is a better offer afaik.

    • Agree

  • Solid comments!

  • Wonder if the Citi converted to NAB cards are excluded from this

  • Paying giftcard with this will treat as cash advance.. Thats what in the tnc

  • This was a great experience signing up for this card. Maybe the best one yet.
