Not with the updates this will get but it’s still over priced for what you’re getting. I’d grab one at $299 but by the time they sell them at that they will be out dated.
An old iPad costs ~$500. This mid-range Tensor G2 tablet + a docker speaker together for $299? That would take a long while.
This product and design really appeals to me, but I'm absolutely happy to wait. I can see the price plummeting like all of Google's hardware.

Can see there is a free tablet case if you order pixel tablet from Google store.
I got the tablet from a similar deal during black friday.
1) Contact Google Store for price match. Google would easily do price match and agree to refund the difference amount once item is shipped.
2) Get a 2TB Google one plan which gives 10% back in store credits (Get $89 back in store credits once item is shipped)
3 ) Order Pixel tablet + free case from Google store paying full price
4) Once device is shipped you get refund for difference amount plus free caseSo effective price would be 599 - 89 (credits) with free case . Also need to factor in amount paid for 2TB Google one.

Buyers beware! This "tablet" doesn't have GPS. Don't expect to be able to install anything that needs GPS like Waze, Pokemon Go, etc
For reference, I bought this Pixel tablet during the back Friday sales, and was physically unable to install any app from the app store that needed GPS.
On the google store, it claims this: "The Pixel Tablet lets you access the same apps as you use on other Pixel devices."
This is a blatant lie and mis advertising as I wasn't able to install waze or pokemon go, something I am able to install on my Pixel phone. Took it back the next day for a refund

on the plus without the GPS it might be able to install apps that used GPS locate and lock you out, like the early youtube tv did to me.
