Mixed reviews for this game, but for around half the list price on a 3 month old release before Christmas - I figure it's a pretty good deal.

    Is this game good yet? I have gamepass and downloaded it on my XSX but people online said it was bad so I stopped playing. I used to love the original on Xbox 1.

        I wouldn't use the Geoff Keighley Awards as an indication for what a good game is. It's just an advertising and hype machine.

      It's great but you really want to have a wheel to get the most out of it, 'people online' are probably used to the Horizon series or more arcade style

      It’s ok, not as good as previous games. Copped a major graphical downgrade from the pre release trailer

        This isn't really true. Not fully path traced like the trailer car garage shots but it looks and plays great. Online multiplayerr is really good.
        May not be quite as good as GT7 but it's excellent value on gamepass

          Yeah, this. The complaints are mostly people regurgitating reddit.

          The driving model and the AI are VASTLY improved over FM7. Your sense of where the car is and where you can place (and where the other cars are) is a huge improvement.

          (A radar would help a lot, though.)

            @mickeyjuiceman: The complains are legitimate. The actual driving is good, but for me everything else peaked in FM4. Especially the offline experience which is basically like a free to play version of Forza now. Single player races aren’t permanent for some reason, they expire. Doesn’t have Nurburgring or Bathurst in it (wtf?)

            Some of these car models look like they are 10 years old…game was pretty obvious heavily rushed out the door before being polished judging from how big the patch notes are for the update.

            Performance on PC is also not good enough (barely able to break 80fps with a 4070 Ti and 5800x3D at 1440p on medium settings…)

            I’ll give it another shot maybe in 6 months when they finish the game . Not quite sure how a trillion + dollar company lets games ship in the state this did

              @piston3461: I'm locked 60fps on high/ultra with rt reflections on 1440 on a 5600+3070ti. Not sure what your issue is ?

                @Micsmit: The issue is the game doesn’t scale well with hardware. I’d expect over 100 fps with my setup , I get better performance in Cyberpunk which is a much better looking game

                  @piston3461: There are a few quirks to setting it up. Like restarting the game after every graphic setting change. But good performance and excellent visuals are achievable

      Still a mess re the penalty system, particularly if you play online. Otherwise it is fun, and if you're playing offline/career mode, or can find decent groups to play with, it is worthwhile

                    @mickeyjuiceman: Nurburgring or Bathurst isn't included for the first time in years. It wouldn't surprise me if they start drip feeding tracks as part of the paid DLC content.

    Did they fix it yet?
    Was broken at launch and every freaking update they said it was fixed but it wasn't. I gave up at patch 3.
